EXHIBITIONS

Latitude 27 November 2014 – 19 January 2015 Artists from throughout the region have been invited to submit works for this group show entitled Latitude. Themed around cartography, the exhibition allows the viewer to look at maps and geographical charts through the eyes of an artist. All artworks have been inspired by cartographic design and will interpret the landscape from this perspective.

COLLECTION PROJECTION Extended until the end of the year

Developed as part of the Fringe Festival the Barossa Regional Gallery is presenting a selection of Barossa Vintage Collection Artworks like you have never seen them before – projected onto the front of the Gallery. It is art after dark so come down and see this spectacle after 6 pm.

Back Country – India Flint 31 July – 1 September An exhibition of work by India Flint. back country is a body of work that speaks of mapping and trace-making; using plant dyes, earth pigments on cloth, paper and bone together with drawings, photographs and objects created from found metals.

Creative Souls 3 August – 24 August Barossa Arts Council presents, as part of SALA, an exhibition of mixed media art created by a collective of local artists aged 15-26.

Improvisation - Katharina

Urban 16 October – 23 November An exhibition of contemporary designed woven tapestries by Katharina Urban. Katharina’s tapestries are created by using special shades of colours that are created by using several threads of different coloured wool, silk, cotton or other fibres, on each bobbin. The tapestries display great subtlety and complexity within their design.

Art Happens – Jan Ward 16 October – 23 November Art Happens contains contemporary mosaics and paintings using rich colours and texture created by Jan Ward. Art Happens can be viewed in Gallery 3.
