CME INFORMATION

Course DescriptionContinuing research and expanding therapeutic options have improved the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This annual one-day symposium will update the practicing physicians and nursing professionals on the latest insights in this important field in order to improve the care of patients at risk or with cardiovascular conditions.

Learning Objectives • Utilize the guidelines and current evidence to select the appropriate medical versus revascularization (or combination) options

for optimal care of patients with coronary artery disease.• Recognize the novel percutaneous valve therapies and continuing advances, and revise their approach regarding optimal treatment options of

patients with severe aortic stenosis.• Analyze the differences among various treatments of atrial fibrillation, including left atrial appendage closure.• Review the latest evidence on the benefits of third-generation and biodegradable stents for their role in patients with coronary artery disease.• Utilize the guidelines and current evidence to appropriately select patients for screening, medical management, and interventional therapy.

Target AudienceThis conference is intended for cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, interventional radiologists, neurologists, primary care practitioners, internists, emergency medicine physicians, residents, fellows, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, cath lab staff, allied health professionals, and additional healthcare professionals interested in the treatment of heart and vascular disease.
