Dear brothers and sisters,

I am very happy to see that many of you came back to Church. We are not back to the pre-COVID numbers but it’s ok. I invite you to encour-age those who have not come back yet. As you well know, by now, we are experts in social dis-tancing, disinfecting, masking, etc.! We cannot be afraid! Also, we are very glad for all the people who are helping us run the Catechism and Confirmation programs in this new form. It’s not easy, change is always difficult, but it’s good. I invite you all, as a Parish Community, to pray for each other, espe-cially for the parents who are teaching CCD to their children: may God bless them! Saint Joseph, pray for us!

Estoy muy feliz de ver que muchos de ustedes re-gresaron a la Iglesia. No estamos en los números anteriores a COVID, pero está bien. Les invito a animar a los que aún no han vuelto. ¡Como bien saben, ya somos expertos en distanciamiento so-cial, desinfección, enmascaramiento, etc.! ¡No po-demos tener miedo!

Además, estamos muy contentos por todas las per-sonas que nos están ayudando a ejecutar los pro-gramas de Catecismo y Confirmación en esta nue-va forma. No es fácil, el cambio siempre es difícil, pero es bueno. Les invito a todos, como comunidad parroquial, a orar los unos por los otros, especial-mente por los padres que están enseñando CCD a sus hijos: ¡que Dios les bendiga!

OCTOBER 25 ~ THIRTIETH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Jesus doesn’t mince words in today’s gospel. “The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments” - love God with your whole being and love your neighbor as your-self. There is no wiggle room in how we are to behave and how we are to treat one another. As Christ’s disciples, let us pray for the grace to be faithful to living and loving according to these commandments, especially toward people we find it hard to love or respect. Jesús es bien directo en el evangelio de hoy. “Toda la ley y los profetas dependen de estos dos mandamientos”: ama a Dios con todo tu ser y ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. No hay margen de maniobra en cómo debemos comportarnos y cómo debemos tratarnos unos a otros. LED UPGRADE PROJECT IN ALL OUR BUILDINGS

PROYECTO DE MEJORA A LUCES LED EN NUESTROS EDIFICIOS

As I have announced in previous bulletins, we are upgrading all our buildings to LED. This includes the Parish Hall, the Parish Center and the Rectory. The upgrade would lower the annual energy consump-tion of 71% and bring us savings for $4,000 yearly.

The total cost for this project is $27,775.00. Yet, we received a National Grid Incentive Benefit of $9,221.48. This means that they project will cost $18,553.52. We paid $1,870 upfront and then we have financed $16,683.52 at 0% interest from National grid for 2 years. This means that, for this pro-ject, we will pay $8,341.76 a year but, since we save $4,000 a year with the LED technology, this whole project will cost the parish $4,000 extra for 2 years and then that's it. This means that, for two years, our monthly bill for electricity will increase of $333. After that, we will have all new fixtures, which re-quire no maintenance, and annual savings for $4,000.

The project has already started in the Parish Hall and you can see the difference!

Como ya anuncié en boletines anteriores, estamos haciendo una mejora de todas las luces de nues-tros edificios a luces LED. Esto incluye el Salón Parroquial, el Centro Parroquial y la Rectoría. La mejo-ra disminuirá el consumo de energía anual del 71% y nos brindará ahorros de $4,000 al año.
