Summer is not that far away and it is already time to start considering your summer pro-grams. Mad Science offers a wide array of programs for small groups up to large audiences that can complement your summer themes. All our programming is hands-on and interac-tive. Your children will touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about. With hundreds of hours of hands-on programming, it is easy to find ways to include Mad Sci-ence in your summer activity planning.

School Age Workshops (K-5th grade): $165 per workshop ($155 each workshop if

the same workshop is taught consecutively). One Hour Long, includes take home project.

Pre-School Workshops (3-5 years old): $110 per workshop ($100 per workshop

if same workshop is taught consecutively). 40 minutes long, includes take home project.

One Day Mini Camps: $30 per camper for a three hour themed mini-camp! Fun, hands

on and interactive! Take home project with each camp program!

Spectacular Science Shows: $325 These shows are great for a large crowd. These

fun, interactive, high energy shows are guaranteed to get your campers geeked out about sci-ence for sure! You can also add a preschool show this year at a reduced rate.

Science Exploration Days: $500 Have a large group to entertain? Science Explora-

tion Day is approximately 2 - 2.5 hour event that includes a science show, three activity stations and a final outdoor rocket launch.

summer! We tone down the education while we turn up the fun – but the kids are still learning!

Butterflies – Discover all about butterflies – where they come from and their stag-es of growth. Experiment with how butterflies eat and make a butterfly to fly home.

Dinosaurs – Live dangerously! Hold the jaw bone of a dinosaur and learn the story of “Stegy”. Become a junior paleontologist and go on a dinosaur dig. Learn about casting and make a souvenir slime pit for your dinosaur.

Fluttering Birds – Fly away with our fine feathered friends on a day that’s for the birds! Learn about different species and their unique eggs and how a bird’s beak is a tool. Practice your bird calls with bird warblers.

Listen Closely – Investigate the sounds that catch our attention. With a wave mo-tion model and a twirling tube in hand, learn how sound travels in waves and can be heard in a variety of pitches. Make movie sound effects.

Energy and Motion – Examine how things move while we learn about the basic laws of motion. Discover that energy can be stored and released. Create a roller coaster and take home a marvelous energy machine – a nylon spring!

The World of Color – Welcome to the exciting world of color! Use chemical reac-tions and, yes, even rainbows! Roll up your sleeves and get into color mixing with liquids, gels, and paints. Color your world beautiful with a sun catcher.

Adventures in Air – Discover the power of air! How can something invisible have the power both to speed things up and slow things down? Soar the skies with your very own cloud climber.

Seas, Sand and Surf – Beach blanket fun at club Pre-School! Make your own sand and see how shells are used by animals for protection. Take an imaginary ride see what animals call the ocean home. Create your own ocean in a bottle.

Space Frontiers – 3...2...1...Blast off! Be a Mad Science Astronaut! Take a walk on the Moon and collect lunar rocks. Travel around our solar system and make your own constellation. Take home your own rocket launcher.

Mad Mixtures – Conjure up an eruption in our Mad Science lab. Use chemistry to blend different colors together and create liquid lasagna. Mix-up a batch of Mad Science play dough to take home.

A half day of themed interactive science. This option offers a combination of in-class discovery and explora-tion, physical activities and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. These three-hour

Playing with Polymers

Spectacular Science Shows! Perfect for a large group! These fun, interactive shows are guaranteed to get your campers geeked out

about science for sure! This show is so cool it’s hot! Kids will be amazed with dazzling demonstrations us-ing fire, bubbling potions, and carbon dioxide gas frozen to 109°F below zero. Kids will help Eggbert get home, some may even come up and taste our world famous burps! Kids will learn properties of fire, chemical reactions, different stages of matter and more! Come and see just how HOT & COOL science can be! (45 or 60 min show)

The title says it all! Our Mad Scientist will amaze kids as they defy gravity, create awesome rainbow reactions, dissolve a Styrofoam head, grow a hand, create amazing elephants toothpaste and even challenge a student with a Jedi challenge (will the force be strong with him/her? / 60 min show only). A great show guaran-teed to get plenty of awesome “reactions!” (45 or 60 min show)

This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pres-sure. Hot air balloons, vortex generators that will send flying smoke rings over their heads, floating balls, giant wind bags and even a hovercraft will help children understand the power of air all around us! (45 or 60 min show / Please no carpet)

Want to hear some good vibrations? Our sound show explores how sound is made and how we hear it. Everyone will be shocked as we create a dinosaur roar with simple materials. The Mad Scientist will create crazy cacophony with a garbage can, a swinging sound and a metal pipe! Explore the science of speakers with us as we create a funky disco show with magnets and your skull! You’ll really “rock out” with this supersonic audio experience. (45 min show only)

Preschool Show! The ABCs of Science. Air Pressure, Bubbles and Chemi-cal reactions. This unqiue show is more ideal for your younger audiences. This show is usually priced at $325 but can be added to another show for $200 if done consecutively. A great way to include your preschool group. Best for ages 3 & 4; limited to 100 kids. (30 min show)

Want to be a champion? Then go for the gold with this action-packed show that mixes awesome demonstrations with team competition to introduce the scientific principals behind some of our favorite Olympic sports. Learn the fundamentals of Potential and Kinetic Energy, Trajectory and Force while facing-off in relay races, strongman competitions and more! (45 min show / needs large area)

Build a Better World Summer 2017 Library Show! Learn about amazing structures, try to crush an egg & build a giant arch on stage. See how water conservation is so important to our world. End the show with a big hydrogen “BOOM” to see how effective alternative energy is to our grow-ing world.

Science Exploration Day

A full afternoon of fun for your large group! This is a 2 hour event for 100 to 200 kids. Combine a show, 3 discovery stations

and a final rocket launch. Each kid gets cotton candy, a cup of slime and a whirligig to take home. Starting at $500

for 100 kids.

These activities are designed for groups K to 5. $500 for 100 kids (minimum). Additional kids are $5 each up to a total of 200 kids (maximum). This can only be scheduled to start after 1 pm on

weekdays. Event lasts approximately 2 - 2.5 hours.
