PREPARING STUDENTS TO TAKE ON OUR INCREASINGLY FAST-PACED WORLD

By the end of the program, Skoltech students will possess

• Profound scientific disciplinary knowledge and reasoning skills

• Outstanding personal attributes – critical thinking, beliefs and values

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead the innovation process

Students immerse themselves in eight highly intensive eight-week courses a year, each including application periods and, when possible, an industrial immersion

To ensure that students are grounded in the fundamentals and innovation process, Skoltech breaks down the curriculum into the following elements:

Science, Technology and Engineering Learning Experiences• Fundamentals as well as disciplinary and

interdisciplinary knowledge in the program area

Sector Learning Experience• Courses relating to a particular industrial-sector

ecosystem on how its technical, social and economic systems work

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Learning Experience• Courses on the full innovation process from identifying

opportunities to commercialization and impact

Diploma• Project drawing on work in previous experiences

and connecting research with innovation

Here at Skoltech, we deeply believe that students are the most important part of the university. We’re looking for students who have not only exceptional talent in science and technology, but also - and more importantly - the desire to make an impact on the world. Our students also play a vital role in helping to build a world-class university from scratch - they are helping to design pieces of the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and the overall student life at the Institute. Being part of something new is not always easy, but it is profoundly rewarding and our students are the most essential stakeholders we have.
