Class Mottos Through The Years By Deanna Andrews As I go through the old papers every week to do the “Anita Remembers” col- umn, this time of year I see the gradu- ating classes, their pictures, their colors and most of all, their mottos. My sister and I have always gotten a kick out of some of the mottos of older classes, so I decided to go through every paper and yearbook I could find to list all of the mottos from the first graduating class in 1888 until now. Unfortunately, a lot of the mottos weren’t listed or there simply wasn’t one. During World War II, the paper wasn’t printed for a while due to the ed- itor being drafted and the lack of paper. I have had a good time digging up all these old mottos right up until the class of 2019. I have what I found listed be- low. Class Mottos Through The YearsBy Deanna Andrews

As I go through the old papers every week to do the “Anita Remembers” col-umn, this time of year I see the gradu-ating classes, their pictures, their colors and most of all, their mottos.

During World War II, the paper wasn’t printed for a while due to the ed-itor being drafted and the lack of paper.

I have had a good time digging up all these old mottos right up until the class of 2019. I have what I found listed be-low. Hope you enjoy!
