Just the other day, I was reading a quote by our SBC President, Fred Luter, that really got my attention. “Team work makes ‘The Dream’ work.” Working together to see the dream of M20 accomplished in October will include our largest event of the year TRTT! All of these acronyms may be confusing for some of you so let me explain. TRTT is Taylor Road Treats the Town; an annual fall festival that is a gift to the people of Montgomery from Taylor Road Baptist Church. There are many fun booths, inatables, food, popcorn and cokes. Each adult Sunday school class is asked to sponsor one of these activities. There are hundreds of families that come into this safe, friendly, and fun fall festival environment as an alternative to Halloween.

M2O is a joint eort by the people of Taylor Road Baptist Church to take advantage of the Montgomery Missions Opportunities in and around the globe. M20 is a catch phrase like H20, and as H20 stands for water, M20 stands for a team eort to share with a thirsty world the love of Jesus.

In order for the spiritual reality of the M20 event of TRTT to take place, there needs to be a genuine dependence upon God. We need Him and where would we be without Him? We need each other, because what Pastor Fred said is true, “Team work does make ‘The Dream’ work”. We need God to be an inuence through His people toward those who are not yet a part of His family.

This year TRTT is going to be held on Wednesday, October 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. When your class volunteers to be a part, would you please volunteer to do your part? “Team work makes ‘The Dream’ work.”

In His Love,

Pastor Andy

Our M2O event for the Month of October will be a Fall Festival Funday at Cleveland Court. We will be hosting an event very similar to Taylor Road Treats the Town, at Cleveland Court. We will be joining college students from The University of Mobile as we share the love of Christ with the residents of Cleveland Court. We need your help. This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of an M2O outreach event. We need people of all ages with all kinds of God given skills and talents. We will need people to cook, paint faces, load and unload tables and chairs, run games, pass out candy, provide either door prizes, food, drinks, candy, or most importantly to show the love of Christ to children and adults. We want you to help us with this event in any way you can.

Some words about ‘Worship’

“The purpose of this Christian society called the "Church" is, rst: to glorify God by our worship. We donot go to church just to hear a sermon. We go to church to worship God.” - Billy Graham

“Everybody worships. Whether it’s a hero, possessions, success, pleasure, a political cause, a carved idol,or oneself, the way we live and behave makes evident the things we love and give ourselves to. It is inour very nature to worship, and that inner drive is God-given; the disaster is that as part of a fallen race,we have replaced the object of our worship. To be converted to faith in Jesus Christ is to return to theworship of the true God, and to dethrone all rivals to his authority.” - Graham Kendrick

"How quickly we forget what it's all about. We can get so strategic that we worship soour church will grow, not because He is worthy. But we're doing all this because God isworthy and we want to worship Him." - Tommy Walker

“Worship can never be a performance, something you're pretending or putting on. It's got to be anoverow of your heart…Worship is about getting personal with God, drawing close to God.” - MattRedman

Dust o your marching & concert band instruments! With the help of some folks that God has sent to TRBC, the Music Ministry may be able to re-start an instrumental music opportunity. More information will be shared as things develop.

Taylor Road Treats the Town

Wednesday, October 31, from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.

Each year we are so thankful for the way that the Taylor Road family pulls together to welcome the Montgomery area to TRBC. Our Sunday morning Bible Study classes have a major role in the success of TRTT. As always, we are looking for ways to reach the Montgomery area with the Gospel through this event. Let us know if you have any ideas to facilitate this goal. We look forward to seeing how God will use this event to bring His glory to our city. Each Bible Study class will receive an information sheet this week, and each class will receive a sign up sheet next week. Please be in prayer for how God can use you this year during Taylor Road Treats the Town.
