2. FAITH PROMISE RALLIES AND MISSIONARY RALLIES.

Like never before I held 12 most succesful Faith Promise Rallies and 5

Missionary Rallies. Despite uncertainty in economical situation all goalswere reached and exceeded what proved that Christians have strong faith thatLord will provide and that they are concerned very much about salvation ofsouls and growth of mission work.

3. CONVENTIONS AND POLISH PREACHERS.

Again like never before we were able to attend 3 great conventions:North American Christian Convention, World Convention of Churches of Christand National Missionary Convention. It was our great privilege to bring to this country 6 Polish preachers andone Christian lady with whom we visited over 70 churches across this land

and attended 2 great Conventions of our Brotherhood. Our Polish guests werevery much impressed with American Churches and also American Brethren werevery much impressed with the Polish preachers and their work in Poland.

4. PUBLICATIONS AND BIBLES.

New song book was published, previous publications were repeated and because of great demand we have to repeat all our publications in 1975.Our Polish magazine is very popular everywhere and with grateful hearts weentered into 16th year of this publication.Hundreds of Bibles and New Testaments in different longuages were sent topeople who asked for it.

5. RADIO.

Each week from 3 different stations w^ send the messages of Christ to Polish, Russian and Ukrainian people in USA and in Europe. Many letters of thanks, inquiries and requests for literature and Bibles werereceived by us. We thank God for this great ministry.

Bro. Winnik prepares all programs and sends out hundreds of packages with literature, Bibles and New Testaments,

6. POLAND.

The best relationship with Polish chur.ches, preachers and Christian workers

Page 3: Bajko Paul Adela 1975 Poland ECC

was maintained. We supplied them with song books, literature and Bibles. Wehelped to renovate several houses of worship, supported Christian ServiceCamp, helped preachers. The largest amount of money was sent to Poland throughPolish Trading Corporation toward the work there. As result of this ministrymany souls accepted Christ.

7. VISITORS.

Like never before we had many visitors in our home from Poland and U.S.A.Dela spent many hours preparing meals and making our guests comfortable inour home. Some days we lodged over 10 people. There were blessed momentsof fellowship and sharing news about our ministry. We thank God for such Christian friends.

Dela, in addition to all housewife's duties, translated many songs and articles, answered hundreds of letters, packed hundreds of packages with usedclothing to Poland, wrote contributor's letters, etc. I thank God for herand. her dedicated work.

8. BALTIMORE AND EASTERN CHRISTIAN COLLEGE.

When I am home I go often with Dela to Baltimore to call on people in homes, hospitals and home for aged people. Also we take active part in the servicesand work of the Church. In 1974 I performed 2 wedding ceremonies, led Biblestudies during the prayer meetings, preached and attended all board meetings. At E.C.C. I teach Missions and I am on the staff of administration.

There are many more things to share with you but we are out of space in thisnewsletter, so we will write about them in the next issue.

All great things happened to us not by chance but by God who bestowed uponus all His blessings and it is not because we deserved it, but because youprayed and helped us in our great work for the Lord.It is our privilege to serve the Lord and you.Thank you once more for your support and please stay behind us faithfully in1975 also.

Dear Friends?

Paul Bajko, Director

March, 1975- r-.

Two months of 1975 are gone already, but what was done for the Lord to exaltHis great name has great value.

In the months of January and February I and Dela were able to visit few churches with the message from God's Word.We had a blessed time with the Wyoming Ave. Christian Church in Kingston, Pa.where Bro. Ed. John is ministering. This church is very much interested in thework in Poland,

Then we went to Ft. Myers, Fla. where Dela stayd with Bro. and Sister Deem, our beloved old friends, where during the Revival m.-ietings at Southside Christian Church where Bro. David Beavers preaches, we met many friends and I spokeone night.January 29 - February 2 I had great privilege to lead a Faith Promise Rallyat the Engelwood Christian Church, Jacksonville, Fla. where Bro. Fred Smith ispreaching. I thought that it was one of the greatest Rallies, but one dear sister corrected me. She said; "It was the greatest and the best from all rallies'.'The goal set before the Congregation for $ 50,000.00 was easily surpassed andreached $ 60,000,00. Praise God!It is hard for me to describe the great fellowship and great interest in mission of everyone in the Church,On Sunday I spoke 5 times; in the Sunday School, during the worship service,at the Victory dinner - where were questions and answers, at the 6 O'clock fellowship there were more questions and answers and during the evening servicewith slides and talk.

At the final service the Chairman of the Missionary Committee presented me acheck for $ 1.000.00 toward bin'IdinB of the. Home for Spm'or C-ff-l7Pn«; in Poland.

From Poland we have also good news about the work there and about the health

of Alice Lewczuk - the youth and children worker. Alice had a premature baby-boy and for several days the doctors were fighting for his life, but becauseof prayers of many the latest news is that mother and baby are doing fine.

Bro, Allan W. Lee, General Secretary of the World Convention of Churches ofChrist, visited Poland in December and was very much impressed with the Churches and work in Poland. He returned back very happy and full of enthusiasm.

The work in Baltimore progresses nicely. Lately myself, Dela and Adam Koren -czuk made many calls on people in Baltimore.

Bro. Wlnnik is in good health and is very busy preparing radio programs andsending out thousands of copies of literature. Bibles and Song books.

We thank all wonderful American Christians who help us financially to carryour ministry and who pray for us constantly.

Yours in His service, Bro, Paul.

FROM AMERICAN CHRISTIAN

"Thank you so much for coming to our little church and sharing your life experiences. We in America are blessed beyond measure and I am afraid we take itfor granted and don't appreciate it. I pray that God above will give you and your familymany more years to lead others to Jesus. Without Him we are lost forever andtime is running out. God bless you and your family. Sincerely, E.N."

Almost unnoticable Summer of 1975 slipped on us.The spring months were so busy that we did not even notice when theypassed.

Since our last report I was able to be in many churches with the gloriousGospel, led several Missionary and Faith Promise Rallies, preached in Baltimore especially at our great prayer meetings and led several rap-sessionswith our youth. Many visits and calls were made. At the same time I made the schedule forpother, and Sister..K®nL Meade, minister of the manor Woods Church of Christ,

^ockville, Md. and secretary to the Guidance Committee of Department of Mis-/ sionj for their visit in Poland May-3^- June 16, Germany and Switzerland

June 17-26.

^3^ffust that in the September issue of our newsletter we will be able topublish their reports and impressions. We received already several letters from Poland indicating how blessedthat visit was.

In Poland Lord's work is going on. In several places n^w missionary stationsare open which eventually will grow into churches.

/People are listening to our radio messages, receive literature, songbooks.Bibles, New Testaments, Poem Books, etc. and are led to Christ.Christian Service Camp season also began already.

Here at home we are very busy. Bro. Winnik had in May a heart attack andspent several weeks in the hospital. The Lord h^rd the prayers of many and

now he is home and feels much better but still cannot work, so all duties performed by Brother Winnik felt on ray shoulders again. Our days seem too short to do all the work but the Lord is giving strengthand we are able to do everything on time.

Please remember Brother and Sister Winnik in your prayers. Few weeks ago Sis --"^^^er Winnik dislocated her shoulder and has to do everything with one' hand.

Please remem^r'us a iso'In your prayers'as we preach, teach, translate, publish^ and travel.

We thank you for your faithful support which we receive each month so the workcan go on and souls can be won for Christ.

^-'^^J.^elay^s very busy and still is with packing over 100 boxes of used clothing—which will be send to Poland and So. America.

But this is not the only job she does? She teaches Sunday School in the SlavicChurch of Christ, writes letters, translates, writes poems, speaks etc.

You all are always in my mind and I thank God for FRIENDS like you who lovethe Lord and His Kingdom.

May the Lord bless you richly.

Yours in His service.

POLAND.

We have listened to your program over the last few months. This program speaksto our hearts. After the message we have discussion at home about this program. The teaching is different from our Rom. Cath. Church. We agree with you thatwe must have more than religion but it is not easy for us just to leave our oldtraditions in which we have grown up. Few weeks ago the priest visited our homeand we discussed a number of things with him. He said that he listens to yourmessages from time to time and he mentioned that we all must come to the faithof the New Testament and have revival in our hearts. Of course he did not ex-

plain what this revival means. Would ycju be so kind as to write to us and giveus an explanation about God's purpose in our lives. We haven't a New Testamentin our home. If it is possible we should be very- grateful to receive 'one fromyou. M.K."

What you presented and how you presented it was just what weneeded. I am at a complete loss to find a word or phrase to describe the im -pact of your message.I can only say - "our souls....

DEAR FRIENDS IN CHRIST:

Paul Bajko, Director

September, 1975

We started the Summer on a very busy foot. Packing of used clothing, packing ofliterature and sending them out took much of our time.Travels and preaching, writing and publishing filled the remaining time. Morethan ever before I was involved in the work in Baltimore.

From Poland we received good news about work directly from Bro. Meade and alsothrough letters. The Christian Service Camp was a great success - many soulsresponded to the Gospel invitations. It was necessary for the Brethren in Poland to purchase two houses of worshipfor newly established congregations and we thank God that we were able to respond to their pleas for help and send them $ 5 ,500,00^^ .

Then came the Senior week of the Lake James Christian Assembly, the high pointof my ministry. Due to my heavy schedule I was able to accept only one invitation and I am happy that I did it.Over 200 young people assembled at Lake James, Ind. I was the missionary speakereach morning. The Youth has shown great interest in missions. All of them attentively listened to every word. Lord was blessing every service, every session, each fellowship. On Friday after the last service at my departure there were many hugs and tears. They showed their interest in mission not only listening but also giving towardmission in 5 days a Imo^t" $'650.00.We praise God for great victories and thank you for your faithful help andprayers.

MY TRIP TO POLAND

by Kenneth Nteade-—-

I have worked with Brother Paul Bajko since 19'52 and the Lord's work in Poland has always been of great interest to me. But, ^ftl§^30th was a day thatstarted a spiritual joy never to be forgotten by my wife and myself for onthat day we arrived in Warsaw, Poland., We traveled over_2,000 miles, spoke13 times and met with people every opportunity we had. ~

We were met at the airport by Kostek Jakoniuk who also served as our interpreter for the entire time. We traveled in his car and enjoyed so many

wonderful conversationsDi about the work in Polandas we journeyed to thenext city. The country

I was far more beautifulthan I had imagined. Wethrilled to see so manywild flowers, beautiful

^ .y lakes and forests andmany other villages andcities. We had not real-ized how small the coun-

bicycles, horses and wa-Kostek Jakoniuk (on the right) interprets gons and people walkingas Ken preaches in Olsztyn on all the roads.Kostek Jakoniuk (on the right) interpretsas Ken preaches in Olsztyn

Our greatest joy was meeting all the Christians. We knew only a very fewwords in the Polish language but were determined to use them and the peoplewere very kind in helping us also. We found them to be extremely dedicatedand very appreciative for the opportunity to serve the Lord. It reallymeant a lot to us just to be able to witness their joy in the Lord. Everyservice included at least two sermons and even as many as seven. Serviceslasted from two to four hours. The singing is done in full voice and verymelodious -- we sang along as best we could and at otherTimes we"just listened to that beautiful sound. The chapels are small and the music fills

the room. They pray with such fervency as they thank God for the blessingsthey have and also pray for the continued freedom that can be theirs in thatcountry. The Communion service becomes extremely precious to them and during the service they either sing or pray and none of it is rushed.

We had the privilege of staying in homes and they made us feel totally welcome every place we went. Although their living areas are small, we neverfelt like we were intruding. It was obvious they had anticipated our arrival and made special efforts for us. The food was delicious and preparedwith beauty. Although they don't have the fancy varieties that we have, itwas a joy to share in this simplicity because everything was done with somuch love. Some of our favorite foods were the delicious breads, cheese, soups, cakes and kielbasa. We were told our meal schedule would include abreakfast, lunch about four o'clock and then supper following the eveningservice around nine or ten o'clock. But, some days we had as many as sevenmeals. Every time you stop to visit someone, they prepare a meal for you.The fellowship of eating with these Christians was a great experience.

Our travels took us to Ostruda where we saw the camp property and visitedthe Old Folks' Home; to Olsztyn where we shared- the 30th Anniversary ofthat congregation; and to Katowice where we had the good news that the gov

LETTER FRCM KOSTEK

Dear Friends in Christ, Warsaw, June 15,75.

GREETINGS FRCM POLAND! One year is passing from the time when the Lord gave methe privilege together with few other brethren from Poland to visit your countryand vist your churches. How wonderful and precious were the moments of fellowship with you. It was anencouragement to me in my work for the Lord to see the growth and the blessingsof your work and also the love and concern you have for your Christian friendsand for the work of the Lord in Poland. !

I may say in behalf of all of our Christian workers in Poland that we do appreciate very much your love, concern and help you show to us through Brother Bajko. We thank God for Brother and Sister Bajko and their hard work for the glory ofGod. The songbooks printed by them are greatly enjoyed by the young people, notonly in our churches but other denominations and even Roman Catholics are singing those songs. Their monthly magazine GUIDEPOST is requested and read withinterest by hundreds. There is great demand on LIFE OF CHRIST VISUALIZED butwe are already out of it. The parcels of used clothing are a great help to manyChristians and they all pray for you and are greatful to all of you for your love

and concern.

With your help we were able to build and repair many church buildings, to distribute many Bibles, songbooks and other Christian literature. Our ministers are able to use more and more effectively their time for the Lord.

^• We still have many needs, the largest of all is the Ostroda Project, the youthcamp facilities and also the Old Folks' Hbme in which we will have to have somepart, but we trust that the Lord who was so gracious to us up until now and youwho have shown your love to us through the years will make possible for us to doin the future that which will be for the glory of God.

I would once more like to express our appreciation for warm welcome and the loveyou have shown to us by opening your churches, your homes and your hearts whilewe were there.

May God richly bless and reward you out of His unending riches from above.

Yours in Christ, Kostek Jakoniukm '

Paul Bajko, l^ector

November, 1975

25 years ago in Nqveniber I landed in this great country of America. From that day on I never ceased to thank God for this land which opened thedoor for me.

In this country I found first of all wonderful, loving Christians who withopened arms welcomed me into the great fellowship of God's people. In this country I also found friendly and understanding Americans who wel -come all foreigners with smile and share their blessings of freedom and prosperity. In this country I found an opportunity to study and to work and to live inpeace.

This country gave me the privilege to become the citizen of United Statesof America.

But most of all I found here the greatest field of service as the missionary to my people living in U.S.A. and in Poland and other countries. We continue in this service here and abroad preaching the Gospel in personand through radio, through publications, Christian music, letters, sendingrelief, medicine, building houses of worship, starting new churches andstrengthening established churches, sending Bibles and New Testaments.

Our hearts are filled with joy and thanks to God when we see people accepting Christ, when there is spirittial growth, missionary activities, Christian love and concern.

Each time we receive a letter from a preacher or just a Christian brother^from a radio listener or reader of our publication, our hearts are filledwith gratitude and adoration of Him who gave His life that whosoever belie-

Also when I look back at my first steps in this country? studies at EasternChristian Institute and Milligan College, 20 years of work with Eastern Christian College, establishing the Departmetit of Missions, and how God blessed mewith a wonderful wife and 3 children, when I think about Churches across thisland which opened the door for me and your love and concern for the Polishpeople, I say: "Thank you, Lord, for the Church, for great American Christiansand the great Christian nation - America",

May the Lord bless you richly as you continue to serve Him. Pray for us andour work, and pray for America I

"Dear Mr. Bajko,I am writing on behalf of our 70-75 teen-agers here at Milford who made possible this offering to you and your ministry. These kids, in our Teisn-age Youth Worship on Au -gust 17, gave testimonies about how much they appreciated you, and they explained what your mission work involves They did a fine job! They even sangthe song, "I have the Joy, Joy...Down iti My Heart" in Polish for everyone!

They took up this special love offering for you in hopes that in whatever wayyou see the need, you will use it for your ministry.
