    1 - The International Competition Cidade do Fundo is organized in five variants:Piano, Guitar, Violin, Singing and Cello.2 -The Guitar variant is subdivided into: Solo, Ensemble and Orchestra.

    th th th3 - The Competition will take place between the30 June to the 2 of July in the singing variant and between the 04 to the

    th9 July 2016for the remaining variants.4 - The competition is open to young people of all nationalities up to age defined in each levels of participation (it is considered theage that the competitor has in 30th June of 2016) and interprets the program defined in the regulation.5 -Participants who obtained the 1st prize in last year's competition can not reapply it to the level where they were awarded.6 -In the Guitar Ensemble and Guitar Orchestra variant, each structure may include an element that exceeds the defined age limit

    and that can be the teacher or another. The Guitar Ensemble should have a maximum of twelve (12) elements and GuitarOrchestra a number of elements than thirteen (13).7 -To register is necessary to fill in the registration form and pay the appropriate fee. The final date for delivery of registrations is17nd June, 2016.8 - Registration fees:

    - Levels 1 and 2 - 35

    - Levels 3 and 4 - 45

    - Levels 5 and higher level - 60

    - Guitar Ensemble and Guitar Orchestra - 10 for each element

    9 -With the registration form the candidates will have to send the ID copy, a photo and the scores of the pieces.10 -On 9th July will be the Concert of Laureates where will be awarded diplomas and prizes.11 -The laureate competitors must be present at the ceremony, and the competitors chosen by the jury have to participate in theconcert, the absence at the cerimony will be penalise by not receiving the respective diploma and prize.12 -The participants will act for alphabetical order in the level where they participate.13 -All the performances will be public and will take place in the A Moagem, in the Misericrdia's auditoriums and in the CasinoFundanense.14 -The trip expenses and accommodation will be under the responsibility of the participants.15 -In desistance case will not be refunded the amount corresponding to the fee paid.

    16 -All the pieces interpreted must be played by heart, except Guitar Ensemble, Guitar Orchestra, Oratorio Aria of Singing variantand the cello sonatas.17 -In variant of Violin, Cello and Singing is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure the pianist who will follow him (whenrequired,the services of the Academy may submit a list of accompanists).18 -The programs presented by the candidates could not be modified after the 17nd June 2016.19 -To the jury is reserved the right to not attribute some of the prizes and his decisions are sovereign. Honorable Mentions can beattributed to competitors who Jury decides.20 -The organization may make audiovisual recordings of evidence of competitors and other presentations integrated in thecontest, for reporting purposes.21 -The omitted cases will be decided in accordance with the organization of the competition.22 -Foreign applicants who request it, the Academy can tell where to get pieces of Portuguese composers.23 -The calendar of the performances will be sent to competitors via email as stated on the registration form.

    Level III | up to 12 years old

    Eliminatory competition

    A study chosen by the contestant.A piece from the Baroque period.A piece of a Portuguese composer.

    Final competition

    A lively movement from Sonatina, Sonata, Rondo or VariationsFree choice piecewith a contrasting style from previous presentation.

    (*) These pieces were written specially for the International Competition vy Olga Silva, teacher and coordinator of the piano

    department at the AMDF.

    Level V | up to 18 years old

    Eliminatory competitionA study of virtuosity chosen by the contestant.Prelude and Fugue from the Well Tempered Clavier by J. S. Bach.A piece of a Portuguese Composer.

    Final competitionLively Movement of Sonata from the following composers:

    Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Brahams, Scriabin and Prokofiev.Two works from different stylistic periods, chosen by the contestant.

    Higher Level | up to 23 years old

    Eliminatory competitionA study of virtuosity chosen by the contestant.A polyphonic work chosen by the contestant.A piece of a Portuguese Composer.

    Final competition(The competition should not exceed 50 minutes under penalty of being interrupted by Jury)Integral Sonata chosen by the contestant.A Piece chosen by the contestant, from the 12 Spanish Dances by Enrique Granados.

    A Piece chosen by the contestant, contrasting with the sonata presented previously in this competition.

    A study or capriccio among the following methods: Mazas op. 36, Kayser op. 20, Kreutzser or another ofequal or higher difficulty.

    Required Piece: Jogo breve, Sofia Sousa Rocha, Ava Musical Editions

    Piece or movement from Sonata chosen by the contestant, with piano accompaniment.

    A 1st movement of a concert from the Classical or Romantic Periods with cadenza (if it was written)

    Required piece: Estudo entre Estudo, Tiago Derria, Ava Musical Editions

    Capriccio, chosen by the contestant, among the following composers: Wieniawski, Paganini oranother of equal or higher difficulty.Two contrasting movements of sonata or partita for violin by J. S. Bach.A 1st movement among the concerts numbers 3, 4 and 5 by Mozart with cadenza.

    Final competition

    A piece of virtuous character from the Romantic or Modern Periods.A 1st of a concert from the Romantic or Modern Periods.

    A study among the methods: Lee, Dotzauer (Book II), Popper Op. 76, or another of equal or higherdifficulty.

    Required Piece: Aria I opus 2 by Joly Braga Santos (Ava Musical Editions)

    A study or capriccio among the following methods: Lee (Book II - 23/40), Duport, Popper Op. 76 and 73,Franchomme (12 studies) Piatti (estudies/capriccio), or another of equal or higher difficulty.

    A prelude from Bach's Six Suites.Required piece: Pgina Esquecida by Lopes Graa (Ava Musical Editions).

    Final competition

    Piece or movement from Sonata chosen by the contestant, with piano accompaniment.A 1st movement of a concert from the Classical or Romantic Periods with cadenza (if it was written)

    Higher Level | up to 23 years old

    Eliminatory competition

    A study or capriccio among the following composers: Popper Op. 73, Piatti, Franchomme, or another ofequal or higher difficulty.

    A prelude and a movement, chosen by the contestant, from one of the Bach Suites between numbers 3

    and 6. Required piece: Aria II opus 57 by Joly Braga Santos or Nocturno by Frederico de Freitas (AvaMusical Editions).

    1st movement of the Concerto in D or in C by Haydn.

    Final competition

    A piece of virtuous character from the Romantic or Modern Periods.A 1st movement of a concert from the Romantic or Modern Periods with cadenza (if it was written).

    NOTICE | The program should be done in memory, regardless of the level, with the exception of sonatas.The competitor will be subject

    to permanent exclusion from the competition.
