HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS.
CosmetologyThis two-year post-secondary program is contracted through Paul Mitchell the School and takes place on its campus. It offers an overview of cosmetology with an emphasis on basic practical skills including roller control, quick styling, shampooing, hair coloring and more. Students will also be able to earn their state cosmetology license.
Culinary Arts Students in this program cover many topics while running the campus restaurants: To The Nines, The UnCommons Cafe, and Snack Shack. These topics include: how the food industry functions and what to expect as a prospective employee, workflow in a professional kitchen, food identification, nutrition, baking, and food /beverage service.
Early Childhood EducationThis program addresses the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors associated with supporting and promoting optimal growth and development of infants and children. Students will learn the principles of childhood development, how to create a safe and healthy environment, as well as guiding children’s behavior and development.

PROGRAMS.
Auto Collision Repair Students learn a variety of auto collision techniques such as: painting, metal & plastic repair, MIG welding, plasma cutting and cost estimating. Most importantly, students learn safety skills and the correct procedures for returning damaged cars to pre-accident condition.
Auto Service Technology This program includes classroom and laboratory experience that incorporate training in service and repair work on all types of automotive vehicles. Students who spend two years in our program will be taught to diagnose and repair all systems of the modern vehicle.
Aviation MaintenanceThis is a senior-level program in partnership with Vincennes University Aviation Technology. Classes are held at the Aviation Technology Center at the Indianapolis International Airport and familiarize students with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and aircraft maintenance.
Aviation Flight & OperationsLocated at Central Nine, this program provides students with a broad-based introduction to the field of aviation. Flight and Operations is the ideal program for students interested in becoming pilots and could lay the groundwork for careers in Aviation Maintenance.
Diesel Service TechnologyThe Diesel program prepares students for future work in a diesel services position. Students can participate in a paid internship during their second year, while utilizing light welding, torch, mechanical, measuring, computer and electrical skills daily.

HEALTH SCIENCEPROGRAMS.
Health Science IThis program is an overview of the human body system and health careers, covering three main topics: Health Careers, Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology.
Health Science II: Athletic Training/ Exercise ScienceThis program meets on campus once a week to study health, fitness, wellness and sports conditioning in the classroom setting. Students also participate at a clinical site gaining laboratory experience that relates directly to topics studied in class.
Health Science II: Medical AssistingStudents learn about working in a doctor’s office, clinicals, taking vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, etc.), venipuncture, syringe fill, ECG’s, urinalysis, prescription writing and dosage calculations.
Health Science II: NursingThis program is an extended laboratory experience at a clinical site and provides students with the opportunity to earn their CNA and assume the role of the Nurse’s Assistant to practice technical skills previously learned in the classroom. * This is a senior-level program and requires a prerequisite and interview for admission.
PLTW Biomedical ScienceStudents are immersed in a crime scene investigation to study forensic science, human body systems, and medical Interventions ranging from autopsies, drug analysis, EKG, Clay Manikens®, prosthetic designs and more! This program is comprised of four courses that can lead to a higher level career in the fields of medicine, forensics and research.
Dental CareersThis program addresses dentistry from the perspective of a Dentist, Hygienist, Assistant, and Lab Technician. Emphasis is placed on clinicals and lab, equipment/instrument identification, oral anatomy, and sterilization. Students complete Job Shadowing & Clinicals.
Veterinary CareersThis lab program introduces students to animal care and veterinary medicine. Students work with animals, study medical terminology, perform clinicals, practice animal nutrition, and gain clinical experience.

Computer Science (Online)This online program introduces the structured techniques necessary for the efficient solution of business-related computer programming, logic problems and coding solutions into a high-level language.
Information TechnologyIntroduces students to local and wide area networks, home networking, networkingstandards using the IEEE/OSI Model, network protocols, transmission media and networkarchitecture/ topologies.
Visual Communications Students work with state-of-the-art equipment while utilizing Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, using these skills to complete projects for real world clients in the community. Topics covered include page layout, digital photography, digital audio/video, digital press, vinyl & sign graphics, screen printing and wide format printing.

Student Requirements
Students participating must demonstrate the six values of IMPACT and meet academic competencies.
IMPACT: Integrity, Motivation, Profession-alism, Adaptability, Communication, and Teamwork.
- GPA. 2.0 - Resume - Mock Interview - Six hours community service - No more than 1 discipline referal - Attendance rate of 98%
Students who participate will create a resume, build interview skills, complete community service hours and make connections with community members.
By completing the program requirements, students will receive a certificate signed by the Governor, recognition at Awards Day, and item to wear at
graduation, and incentives and opportunities from the community.

PROTECTIVE SERVICESPROGRAMS
Criminal Justice This hands-on, training-intensive program holds its students to a high standard and is designed to provide students with the fundamentals for a career in Criminal Justice through academy based training and I.L.E.A. standards. This includes areas such as arrests, the use of force continuum, report writing, communications, terrorism/counter terrorism awareness, court operations, corrections, as well as probation procedures.
Emergency Medical ServicesThis is a Senior only program where students prepare for the real world in Emergency Medical Services. They will experience real-life situations that occur in hospital emergency rooms and ambulatory care. Students also have the opportunity to take the Indiana EMR Practical Exam.
Fire and ResuceStudents have the unique opportunity to obtain state fire certifications all while working towards a high school diploma. The program is taught by full time firefighters from the local area. Students will be issued firefighting gear, work on a fire engine, wear a SCBA, and be expected to learn and perform all of the fire ground activities that are performed on the job on a daily basis. Students will also complete CPR and First Aid certifications.

CONSTRUCTION AND LANDSCAPE
PROGRAMS
Construction Trades This is a hands-on program where students will construct a house! It includes classroom and laboratory experiences covering the formation, installation, and establishment of buildings, homes, and other structures.
HVACIncludes classroom and laboratory experiences focused on basic heating systems, ventilation, and cooling/refrigeration systems. This program introduces scientific and mathematical principles applicable in the installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems. Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn an EPA certification.
Landscape ManagementStudents have the opportunity to complete landscape projects for homes and businesses while maintaining Central Nine’s campus. Students also study Aquaponics through the raising of tilapia and crawfish farming. This program covers irrigation, equipment maintenance, hydroponics, horticulture, plant/soil science, and greenhouse management. Students earn an FFA membership and have chapter opportunities for leadership.

PROGRAMSWelding Technology Welding is utilized in many industries including automotive, construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, oil refineries, and transportation. Some of the processes students learn in this program are GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, and Plasma Hand CNC cutting.
Precision MachiningIn this program, students work with several machines such as bench grinders, Computer Numeric Control programing and operation, mills, lathes, drill presses, belt sanders, and much more to create a wide variety of projects. Second-year students have the opportunity to explore a paid internship and can receive national certification MSSC.
