    Cutting Instructions:Fabric A: Fan Scallop – Russet • Cut two 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 ⅞” squares.

    Fabric B: Vines and Buds – Peach • Cut two 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 ⅞” squares. Fabric C: Leaves and Bevels – Russet • Cut three 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twenty-four 3 ⅞” squares.

    Fabric D: Vines and Leaves – Tan • Cut three 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twenty-four 3 ⅞” squares.

    Fabric E: Vines and Buds – Burnt Umber • Cut two 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 ⅞” squares.

    Fabric T: Feathers – Moss • Cut two 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 ⅞” squares.

    Fabric U: Vines – Dark Brown • Cut eight 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

    Backing: (Your Choice) • Cut two 92” x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make one 68” x 92” back.

    Place one 3 ⅞” Fabric D square on top of one 3 ⅞” Fabric C square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two CD units (Fig. 3). Trim the CD units to measure 3 ½” square. Repeat to make forty-eight CD units total.

    Repeat Step 1 using six 3 ⅞” Fabric O squares and six 3 ⅞” Fabric P squares to make twelve 3 ½” OP units (Fig. 9).

    9. Place one 3 ½” Fabric H square on the left side of one 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric G strip, right sides together (Fig. 11). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 11). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 12). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

    10.Place another 3 ½” Fabric H square on the right side of the 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric G strip, right sides together (Fig. 13). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 13). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 14).     Sew one MNM unit to each side of one IK block. Sew one 3 ½” Fabric L square to each end of one MNM unit. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the IK block to make one Block Two (Fig. 18). Repeat to make seventeen Block Twos total.

    Sew two OP units and two OQ units together to make one PQ block. Repeat to make six PQ blocks total.

    Sew one NRN unit to each side of one PQ block. Sew one ST unit to each end of one NRN unit. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the PQ block to make one Block Three (Fig. 19). Repeat to make six Block Threes total.

    Sew three Block Ones and two Block Twos together, alternating them, to make Row One. Repeat to make Rows Three, Five, and Seven.

    Sew three Block Twos and two Block Threes together, alternating them, to make Row Two. Repeat to make Rows Four and Six.

    Sew the seven rows together, in numerical order, to make the quilt top.

    Sew the eight 2 ½” x WOF Fabric U strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.
