Dear Parents and Community Members,
Dear Parents and Community Members,
This week I would like to thank the P&C executive and members for a
great 2015 / 2016 term. Your efforts to contribute to our small school
are marvellous and greatly appreciated. I would also like to welcome
our new executive for 2016/2017 and am looking forward to working
with you to continuously improve our school.
It is a great pleasure to welcome Phoebe Neil to the team at Curlewis
PS. Phoebe has been appointed as our school chaplain by FUSION for
the next three years and will be working with students on Monday and
Friday in classrooms and the playground. Phoebe said that she is
enjoying the experience of getting to know our students a little bit
better and loves how friendly our students are!
As always, if you have any questions or ideas, please
do not hesitate to contact me at school.
Kind regards, Pete Baum

Easter Raffle will be drawn on the 23rd March
Ticket books to be returned by Tuesday 22nd March
Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the Easter Raffle for this year. Don’t
worry there is still plenty of time to bring in your donations and receive the extra $5
contribution off your 2016 excursion that the P&C have kindly donated.
Our whole school excursion this year is to Sydney and will be in late term 3 or early term 4.
We are currently working on the arrangements and hope to have dates and a final cost
shortly.
How you can help
We are calling for donations of Easter Eggs again this year for our prizes. It would be great
if everyone could contribute something to make it a great raffle. The P&C has kindly offered
to contribute $5 to each child who donates Easter Eggs for prizes.
How it Will Works?
Each student will be issued with a small book of tickets. (Minimum Value of completed return
book is $10) As soon as these are returned to the school office students are then given
another ticket book if they want.
What Happens with the Raised Money?
Every dollar that a student raises is taken off their individual 2016 Sydney Excursion costs.
So the more a student raises, the cheaper the cost of their excursion to Sydney will be for
their families.
When Drawn
The Raffle will be drawn on the 23rd of March during our Easter Hat Parade.
Thanks for your continued support,
Curlewis School Staff, SRC and P&C

Open Invitation: EASTER HAT PARADE
On Wednesday the 23rd of March at 12:30pm we will be holding
our annual Easter Hat Parade. Parents, Grandparents and
Community Members are welcome to join us for this fun event.
This year the SRC will be holding an out of uniform day on this
day as well. (Don’t forget your gold coins). Raising money for
their 2016 project.
Please make sure that your child brings a raw egg and hard-boiled
egg for the afternoon activities.
Finally, don’t forget to make your Easter hats for the Hat Parade.
In addition to the normal school and preschool sections, there is
an adult (must be over 18) and a baby section (under 12 months)
this year as well!
Looking forward to a great day!
