This is the premier social event of the year for Cypress Head residents and guests and is a really neat way to start the holiday season with your neighbors and friends. Following are the details and the registration form for this “not-to-be-missed” event: 6:00 pm - Social hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres. Please note: Credit cards are not accepted at the bar – cash only. 7:00 pm - Dinner featuring Chicken Marsala, Broiled Basa fillet, or Pan-Seared Sirloin Steak. All dinners include a dinner salad, bread, appropriate accompaniments, dessert and beverage. 6:00 pm -10:00 pm – Music by Joe Fister (same as 2014) for your listening and dancing enjoyment. Tickets are $38.00 per person (only $2.50 increase from last year) and will be on sale at the HOA clubhouse from 10:00 am until noon on November 11th. Please fill out the registration form and bring it with you when you purchase your tickets. If you wish to be seated with “your group”, please have one person collect the registration forms and checks from “your group” and bring them to the clubhouse on Nov. 11th. ( please use additional forms if registering more than 4 people). Tables are set for either eight persons per table or ten persons per table. We will do everything possible to keep groups together but, there is no guarantee. If you need to make a “late reservation”, call Bob Carter at 763-4596 or Tony Delmonte at 760-1719. Seating is limited and tickets will be sold on a “first come, first served” basis. Checks should be made out to Bob Carter. Many months and hours have been spent on making revisions to help better the process of governance of our premier community here in Volusia County. We need every homeowner to take the time to be part of this process and cast your vote in the best interest of this fine community. We need 66⅔ yes votes from the entire Cypress Head Community to allow these revisions to become a reality. VOTE-YES

HOLIDAY DINNER DANCE

The annual Cypress Head Holiday dinner dance will be held at the beautiful (and somewhat elegant) Halifax River Yacht Club on Friday, December 11

th. This is the

Marching Band Spruce Creek High School marching band students will be selling Luminaries in our neighborhood. This is going to take place on December 5

th and 12

th, both Saturdays., from 9am -

5pm. Each package will contain 10 bags and 10 candles and sand and the cost is $6.00 each package. The students will be wearing their uniforms for easy identification. Lemuel Aguayo, a resident of Cypress Head and father of a band member can be reached at 386-316-4508. If you would like to pre-order the luminaries he will deliver them to your house.

Book Club The book club meets the first Monday of each month at 1:00PM in the Com-munity Clubhouse. All are welcome! On November 2, we will discuss War Brides by Helen Bryan; December 7, it will be One Plus One by Jojo Mo-yes. Starting the New Year off if will be Home to Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani on January 4. On February 1, we'll talk about The Nightingale by Kris-ten Hannah. March 7, we'll discuss The Guest Cottage by Nancy Thayer and on April 4, Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee. Any questions call Kathy Sciano, 760-7159.

Canasta The Canasta group meets every week on Thursday at 1:00PM at the Commu-nity Clubhouse. All are welcome! ARC Request Forms are avail-able for download on the web site or in the box next to the front door of the clubhouse.

REMNDER: A city permit IS required if removing a tree whether

it is alive or dead. Pine trees and Palm trees are NOT exempt.

ARC approval is required at this time for all types of trees to be

removed. Approval is necessary PRIOR to removal.

If You’re New, and even if your aren’t, you need to know that the Social Committee comes up with some really good events for the entire community to enjoy. Last month’s wine tasting was one of the many events they arrange. Keep your eyes open for the up-coming events and come out and get involved. It is a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends. If you have any suggestions please share them with Bonnie Lee. Just drop your idea in the lock box next to the front door of the Community Club-house, marked attention Bonnie Lee.
