FROM THE PRINCIPAL Leaders Induction
Friday’s Leadership Induction was a wonderful school event, a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the 2019 School Leaders. Mayor Richard Marsh joined us on behalf of the Balonne Shire Council to assist with the presentation of student certificates and badges. Mayor Marsh spoke to the students about the important role they played as leaders.
Thank you to family and friends who attended the Induction paraded, and also joined students for a special morning tea. Congratulations School Leaders, we look forward to working with you to ensure Dirranbandi P-10 continues to be a great place to learn. New furniture Last week saw the arrival of new furniture to support learning in our classrooms. Reading/conferencing tables and chairs have been placed in classrooms across our primary school. Standing/Laptop tables have been placed in our high school classrooms to support individual and small group conferencing and laptop work. New desks and chairs have also been purchased to support a flexible learning space which will be used to support both student, staff and community learning. Black function chairs have also been purchased to be used at school events. We set these out for our recent Leadership Induction Parade for parents and community members to enjoy.
