Determining Certificate(s) needed: “How do I know which certificate I need”? Covance Staff have access to two (2) individual DocuSign platforms to apply validated e-signatures. As such, there are two different CA certificates available to be downloaded. You many need to install one or both depending on # of signatures on the document you are dealing with and also where those signatures were applied from. To identify which root CA certificate you need, for each signature:

1. Open the document that contains signatures. 2. Right-Click on the signature as displayed when you click on the ‘Signature’ panel.

3. Click ‘Signature Properties’

4. Click ‘Show Signer’s Certificate’ From details presented, each signature will have an “Issued by:”. This identifies the corresponding certificate that needs to be installed to validate the signature. In case below, to validate this specific signature you would need to install the “LabcorpCovanceDocuSignCA” certificate that is found on Covance.com. If “Issue by:”, is stated as being ‘Chiltern Signed CA’ you will need to download and install the “ChilternSignedCA” certificate. Again, you may or may not need both certificates, and whether you need one or both is based on the individual document. There is no issue with simply downloading and installing BOTH certif icates, even if you only need one at the moment.
