April 21 • Easter Sunday| 3
Dear Parish Family,
Sometimes Easter Sunday can be a busy day, with visiting, meals, and travel. In the midst of this busyness we
must remember what this day is truly all about. Jesus Christ has been raised from the dead. He has come forth
from the darkness of the Tomb and death has been destroyed forever.
One of the great images of Jesus Christ is that He is the Light of the World. He is the Light who calls us to a new
life in Him. Through our relationship with Christ we are able to overcome the darkness of our own lives no matter
what it may be. If you are dealing with anxiety, worry, fear, anger, uncertainty, and sadness, please know that Je-
sus is calling you to become a new creation. It is my prayer for you that you will heed this call and experience the
hope and renewal that only Jesus can give.
Congratulations to those who were received into the Church at the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Michael’s through the
sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. Let us pray for them as well as the children of both of
our parishes who next weekend will be making their First Holy Communion.
Some of the activities that I have coming up:
• April 23: Clergy Business Meeting with the Archbishop in Greenwood
• April 25: Deanery Meeting at St. Anthony in Morris
• April 27: First Communion at St. Peter
• April 28: First Communion at St. Michael
May you and your loved ones experience Easter joy.
Fr. Vince
Prayer of the Week
Lord of Easter’s Promise, I live in faith of the Resurrec-
tion, but such is the nature of my faith that so much of
me remains entombed. Break open the tomb. Where I’ve
buried my compassion, break open the tomb. Where
I’ve buried my sense of mercy, break open the tomb.
Where I’ve buried my humility, break open the tomb.
Where I’ve buried my humanity, break open the tomb.
Where I’ve buried my love for You, my Heavenly Fa-
ther, break open the tomb. Where I’ve buried my sense
of joy, break open the tomb. Where I’ve buried my will-
ingness to forgive, break open the tomb. Lord, in You
I’ve found a Savior no grave can withstand. Help me to
roll away this stone and find the miracle of new life that
I may live more fully in Your saving grace. Amen.

Youth Ministry Envelop Fundraiser and Flower Sale were very successful.
Thank you very much for your generosity.
It is apparent, based on the financial support that the members of Brookville Parishes want to have a thriving Youth Ministry
Program. Even though financial support is essential, it is a MUST for people of the parish to physically volunteer to help with
Youth Ministry.
Many of you may have considered volunteering and then you think:
• My schedule is so full now how can I ever consider volunteering to help plan and implement youth ministry meetings and
activities.
• I don't have any background experience or training.
• My children aren't involved (younger or older).
• My children are grown.
• My teens aren't attending youth ministry.
• I don't have children or I have young babies (young married couples, college students, recent college grads).
I would like to present a model – CORE TEAMS, which would allow volunteers to be involved with youth ministry planning 2 to
3 times a year.
If you are interested in more information please contact Brenda Bertsch, via email [email protected], text or call 513-461
-1028.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support.
A representative from the Brookville Parishes Youth Ministry will be at the St. Michael Ministry Fair on May 4-5, 2019.
Stop by their table and see how YOU can help build this ministry.
