Great Commission Women this

year to be light for the “Diaspora”

people in the following five (5)

projects: Vietnamese in Cambodia

and Taiwan, Muslims in Europe

(CAC), Chinese in Peru & Pana-

ma, Muslims in North and Central

Asia (CAC), and Darfur Refugees

in the Middle East (CAC). Let’s

set our heart’s GPS to partner in

providing every opportunity to

make a difference in the lives of

the “Diaspora” peoples.

Well ladies, we are on a new jour-

ney this coming year. Our new

project theme is: G.P.S. “God’s

Positioning System, Placed for a

Purpose”.

This new theme is centered on

those people around the world,

for whatever reason, have been

scattered away from an estab-

lished or ancestral homeland

(Diaspora). For some, it’s being

on the move from life threatening

wars, persecution or poverty.

Often their flight is a great risk to

them and their families. Thou-

sands often do not make it to that

safe place. Those who do make it

find themselves in a strange land.

This is where our National Project

steps up to provide funds for our

Alliance international workers to

offer services – such as language

learning, job training, help with

government paperwork, or finding

a place to live – they establish

relationships of trust to people

who are open to the gospel. As

friendships develop, Alliance

workers verbally share God’s love,

people become Christ followers,

and we bring them together in

small communities of fellowship

to worship.

Please consider partnering with

A BIG “thank you” goes to Lu-

anna Sproul for leading us in so

many wonderful and enjoyable

NATIONAL

PROJECT

“DISTRICT” GOAL

Our District goal

for the GPS

project is

$30,000.

Something NEW!!!! In the past, we have used the 16 tear-out pag-

es from the Engage Magazine for a printed Bible Study. This

year, the National Executive Team would like to suggest two

books for your Bible studies that will fit well with our new Spiritu-

al Emphasis theme. The titles are: Seeking Him by Nancy Leigh

DeMoss and Tim Grissom and Come Along by Jane Rubietta.

The remaining tear-out pages in the magazine include 12 mission

stories and three pages of monthly National Project program ideas

guaranteed to excite your women about the GCW National Pro-

ject.

By going to www.greatcommissionwomen.org, you will find eve-

rything you need to help with the new project theme including

“Fun Facts About GPS”, ideas, motif, logo, graphics, national pro-

ject goal, and much more. GPS FUN FACTS:

A GPS answers 5

questions

simultaneously.

1. Where am I?

2. Where am I

going?

3. Where are you?

4. What’s the best

way to get

there?

5. When will I get

there?

The Grove will be open from

9AM to Noon on July 23. Any-

one setting up tables and tents

will be permitted to do so AF-

TER the Wednesday night ser-

vice. All active and retired IW’s

should report to the Gazebo for

their Grove Pass, shopping bags,

instructions for the Missions

Parade, and meal tickets.

Our speakers will be the Mur-

phy’s from Thailand and Ken-

dall’s from Indonesia. The theme

is “Seasons of Ministry”.

Please pick up your new GCW

project packet for your church at

the Gazebo before the Rally.

Area Directors should pick up

the remaining packets for their

area after the Rally.

ANNUAL REPORT

Local Directors should submit

their Annual Report to their

Area Director by July 15th.

Please use the report form found

on the District or National

GCW website.

Area Directors should submit

their Annual Report to the Dis-

trict Director by August 4th.

You should have received the

AREA Report Form via email

from LuAnne. If you have not

received it, please contact Lu-

Anne.

DISTRICT MEETING

A “short” meeting for ALL dis-

trict, area, local officers, and

pastor’s wives will be held after

both Mission Rallies in the front

benches immediately following

the rally. If you have any ques-

tions or concerns about GCW or

the new project/theme, we will

address them at that time.

We are sad to announce that the Executive Team had to

make a very difficult decision in the amounts of outfit gifts

we give to our District IW’s. After taking a survey of ac-

tive GCW groups in our district, we discovered almost half

of our churches are without GCW groups, which has dwin-

dled our treasury. In the past years, we have given gener-

ously to our IW’s through their outfit gifts, but the time

has come that we had to reduce those amounts. These

amounts, which are effective July 1st, will be revisited every

year in hopes that we can increase them as time goes on

and as we pray for more ladies to become involved in

GCW.

Please make the following changes in your GCW Policy

Book:

First time/IW $425

Returning/Single IW $375

Returning/Married IW $325

New Baby-to-Be $325

Retiring IW $325

Associate IW/Adult $115

Associate Child $ 80

1st Time Market Place/CAMA $215

Returning Market Place/CAMA $100
