Heerema & Remar

REMAR, January 2012: Remar is a global organization which helps young people to get back on track

again; orphans, homeless and addicted young kids. In Porto Amboim, Remar has a boys shelter with a capacity of 50 boys. They are dependent on the support of the local population and Heerema

Porto Amboim Lda. In a poor country like Angola that is a challenge.

Sustainable support With a team of responsible

employees we monitor REMAR’s needs periodically.

We liaise with the group leaders of Remar and try to comply with their needs.

The facilities are maintained in a durable way by HPA and through donations we will expand the possibilities for education and personal development of the boys so they face a brighter future.

As of this year HPA makes several trainee positions available for boys that completed their Remar program and are now facing the re-socialization in the community.
