Context:• 7th Grade Torah Study (parents & children)• 9 – 10:15am• Beshallach: Shemot 13:17 – 17:16• Final Class of their course

Aim:• To find a way to engage them with the

experience of the Israelites leaving Egypt• Make the experience come alive in some way

beyond the words on the page of the Torah

Lessons for me:• The use of technology in the classroom

encourages participation.• Using social media outlets they are familiar

with further excites them about the class.• Technology is a good way to bridge the gap

when engaging with family education.

• But this was just a first step…
