Abstract The main aim of this paper is to obtain a large bandwidth with a low-cost and compact-sized antenna. Here a rectangular patch fed with linefeed technique is designed. Wide

bandwidth is obtained covering the range from 0.99–2.68 GHz. The designed line-fed

patch antenna can operate in the WiMAX (2.2–3.4 GHz), WLAN (2.40–2.48 GHz) and UMTS II (2.50–2.69 GHz) frequency bands giving a maximum bandwidth of 90.18%. The

simulation results were carried out by the Zeland IE3D software.

Abstract A novel high gain, wideband circle slot-loaded microstrip patch antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed design is realized using inset linefeed method. The proposed

microstrip antenna has a wide bandwidth covering the range from 1.033–2.859 GHz. By

using simple inset linefeed technique and by introducing circle slot, the proposed antenna on 2 GHz operating frequency showing the bandwidth 93.83% having return loss

−27.57 dB, gain 7.1 dBi and good radiation efficiency of about 98% has been achieved.

All results are carried out using IE3d software.

Abstract An objective of the paper is to optimize the parameters, and simulation analysis of

compact wideband rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA). In this paper, a compact wideband, rectangular dielectric resonator antenna is presented using relatively

low dielectric constant material and using double microstrip patch. The rectangular DRA

is fed with a modified stepped microstrip feed to ensure efficient coupling between the RDRA and the feeder. The performance of the proposed antenna has been significantly

improved by loading the RDRA with two narrow conducting metallic strips of suitable widths, which results in dual-resonance excitation and leads to a wider operating

bandwidth (16.55–18.66 GHz). The frequency characteristics and radiation performance

of the proposed antenna are successfully optimized. Design and simulation results are in excellent agreement.
