Powershaver SL Console: The source ofpowerThe KARL STORZ Powershaver SL setsnew standards in shaver systems, offeringexceptional speed and stable torquethrough out its speed range. Best of all,control of speed is exactly where it shouldbe: with the operating surgeon who enjoysa choice of hand control, control via thefoot pedal or control from the consoleitself.

The Powershaver SL's illuminated LCDtouchscreen provides surgeons with con-tinuous feedback on speed and operatingmode – even when OR lights are dimmedto improve endoscopic viewing. Thisinteractive screen allows the circulatingnurse to monitor operating parameters andmake any adjustments needed.

Handpieces: Deliver the Power Two streamlined and balanced handpiecesare available for use with the KARL STORZPowershaver SL, providing differentspeeds with the same amount of torque.Handpiece buttons enable the surgeon tomake rapid adjustments to speed andoperating mode (e.g., from forward modeto oscillating mode). No longer does thesurgeon have to search beneath his or herfeet to locate a footswitch, or wait on ORpersonnel to make the necessary changes.The 8K handpiece is the workhorse of thesystem, satisfying most of the day-to-daydemands of the typical arthroscopist.An additional 15K handpiece allows aspeed range of 500 to 15,000 RPMs, proving especially beneficial to shoulderspecialists who often have caseloads thatinclude formidable acromioplasties
