Tuesday, May 8, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Location: JCC Social Hall $36/JCC members; $42/guests Join other moms for a night out complete with margaritas and delicious hors d'oeu- vres. Whether you have played mahjong before, or this is your first time, please join us for what promises to be a fun evening of learning, laughing and relaxing together. Tables will be played at all levels. Instruction will be provided for novices. Advance registration requested by Friday, May 4. Please indicate your level of play with reg- istration, and bring your mahjong set if you have one. Cards will be available for sale at the event. Proceeds from this event benefit JCC Family Programs. Money Matters Tuesday, May 15, 3:30 – 5 p.m. Young Americans Bank (3550 E. First Ave., Denver, CO 80206) Cost: $5/child; advance registration required As the school year comes to an end, and the ice cream tuck starts rolling around town, this is the perfect time for children to start learning about saving their nick- els and dimes. Please join Shalom Family for a bank tour, a lesson on savings, and the opportunity to set up your own bank account. Program designed for 4-5 year old children and their parents. Please bring parent ID and child’s social security number to set up bank accounts. Celebrate Family! Sunday, May 20, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. JCC Parking Lot Cost: FREE! Join the JCC and hundreds of community organizations and businesses as we celebrate our families and all that our amazing community has to offer.Admission is free, but do bring some money for rides and snacks. The festival will feature: train rides, indoor laser tag, moon bounce, face painting, balloon artists, music and more! We are continuing the Bike Swap this year—you can donate bikes your chil- dren have outgrown and/or purchase a ‘new to you’ bike at the festival. New this year— VIP Family Package for $50- available presale only! Visit www.jccdenver.org/celebratefamily for details and to purchase. Mazel- Tot discounts available to those who qualify. Jewish Baby University Summer 2012: July 8, 16, 22, 27 and 30 $165/couple Rose Medical Center and the JCC Designed for expectant parents, this innovative program combines childbirth education with an exploration of the Jewish traditions and rituals connected with pregnancy, birth and parenting. Instructors Rabbi Jeffrey Kaye (Judaic) and Sue Geissler (prepared childbirth), lead this program created by the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education and co-sponsored by the JCC and Rose Medical Center. Par- ticipants will also join the Boot Camp for New Dads and Miracles and Mayhem classes to discuss the anticipated post-partum experience, communication skills, parental expectations and changing identities. JBU Plus includes: Breastfeeding, Baby Safe & ABCs of Financial Planning also available. Parent/Tot Summer Move and Learn classes will run June 10 – Aug. 10. See reverse for details. !
