BRIEF OVERVIEW OF MORTLAKE SOUTH WIND FARM PROJECT
ACCIONA ENERGY
PUBLIC ROAD UPGRADES
• 10km of interacting public roads that will form part of the wind farm road network will be upgraded prior to commencing construction work on the site.
CONSTRUCTION COMPOUND
• Temporary site compound with foundations, fencing and parking area that will be the base of wind farm construction works. Will be located next to permanent O+M Facility site
CIVIL WORKS
• 15-18km of internal wind farm road and drainage network (unsealed) connecting all turbine locations. Works include construction of hardstands and wind turbine foundations
ELECTRICAL WORKS
• Medium Voltage (MV) cable reticulation through out the windfarm, with approximately 40km of trenching and installation of 96km of cable

SUBSTATION
• Construction of electrical substation including substation bench, fencing and building (control room). Key interface between MV cable reticulation and interconnection to grid
O&M FACILITY
• Design and construction of permanent Operations and Maintenance facility including O+M building and adjacent to O+M warehouse/Workshop
INTERCONNECTION
• Design, Supply and Construction of all grid connection infrastructure, including connection and augmentation at Terang terminal station, run back and wind farm switchyard.

NORDEX
WIND TURBINES
• Thirty-five (35) x 4.5MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a hub height of 105m and a rotor diameter of 149m (73m long blades)
• Total generation capacity of 157.5 MW (equivalent to the consumption of approximately 66,000 homes annually)
• WTGs designed, manufactured, transported, installed and commissioned by Nordex Oceania.
• Nacelles, hubs and blades will be manufactured overseas
• Steel towers will be manufactured in Victoria
• Minor parts will be a combination of local and overseas supplied components

How will we help the local community become involved?
When selecting contractors, ACCIONA will assess them on the level to which they intend to engage local suppliers and businesses
• For contracts that ACCIONA will likely procure from larger suppliers and businesses
• The successful contractors / suppliers will be provided with our inventory list of local suppliers gained through PROCUR-e registrations
• For contracts that ACCIONA will procure directly from smaller suppliers and businesses
• We will refer directly our inventory list of local suppliers gained through PROCUR-e registrations
