IntroductionAbout Nestle:Nestlé is the world's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company. Nestle committed to increasing the nutritional value of our products while improving the taste. Nestle was founded by Henri Nestlé in 1867.as a first milk product. From its first historic merger with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company in 1905, Nestlé has grown to become the world’s largest and most diversified food company.

Nestlé has around 247,000 employees worldwide, operates 500 factories in approx. 100 countries and offers over 8,000 products to millions of consumers universally.

NESTLE IN INDIANestlé India’s first production facility, set up in 1961 at Moga (Punjab), was followed soon after by its second plant, set up at Choladi (Tamil Nadu), in 1967. Consequently, Nestlé India set up factories in Nanjangud (Karnataka), in 1989, and Samalkha (Haryana), in 1993. This was succeeded by the commissioning of two more factories - at Ponda and Bicholim, Goa, in 1995 and 1997 respectively. The seventh factory was set up at Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, in 2006.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTNescafe Coffee

Nestlé’s best known brand is Nescafe : Nescafe - A combination of Nestlé And café. Nescafe, the first Commercially successful soluble coffee, Was introduced in Switzerland in 1938.

The beginnings of NESCAFÉ can be traced all the way back to 1930 when the Brazilian government first approached Nestlé to find a way to preserve its huge coffee surpluses. The idea was to produce a quality cup of coffee that could be made simply by adding water.

Current Stage of Nescafe: If we talk about the current stage of Nescafe it is at its maturity stage. It means the brand image of product is growing day by day and its sale is also at higher stage.This stage takes place through as under processes: During the maturity stage, the primary goal is to maintain market share and extend the product life cycle. Product mix decisions may include:Product - Modifications are made and features are added in order to differentiate the product from competing products that may have been introduced.Price - Possible price reductions in response to competition while avoiding a price war.Distribution - New distribution channels and incentives to resellers in order to avoid losing shelf space.Promotion - Emphasis on differentiation and building of brand loyalty. Incentives to get competitors' customers to switch.

Future plans:

Nestlé aims to make products that achieve at least 60% consumer taste preference with the added 'plus' of nutritional advantage. This means that in rigorous market testing 6 out of 10 consumers prefer the Nestlé product to a competitor's equivalent. It also means that we always thoroughly search for ways to add that nutritional 'plus'.
