6th Annual Murray Half Marathon The Murray Calloway Endowment for Healthcare’s annual Murray Half Mara-thon will be held Saturday, April 16,

2016 and will mark the sixth anniversary of the event. The Murray Half Marathon offers three races, a 13.1 mile race, a 13.1 mile two-person relay race or a 5K run/walk, and brought more than 750 runners from to Murray last year, rais-ing $50,000 through sponsorships and entry fees. All proceeds from the race support operations at the upcoming Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, which is expected to open in the spring. The facility will offer end-of-life care in a home-like setting to area residents in partnership with MCCH’s existing Hospice unit. Runners interested in par-ticipating may sign up at www.Murray-HalfMarathon.org and several discount levels are offered based on how early the participant registers. Course informa-tion and other important details are also available on the site. Another support area for the race is through sponsorships, and three sponsorship levels are avail-able for individuals and/or businesses. The Silver Sponsorship is $1,000 and includes booth space at the expo, banner space and signage, two free race regis-trations (for the Half, Relay or 5K) and a logo on the promotional bag given to runners. The Bronze Sponsorship is $500 and includes booth space at the expo, one free race registration (for the Half, Relay or 5K) and cash or in-kind donation (bags for runners, goody bag insert, etc). The Expo Table Sponsorship is $250 and includes booth space at the Health and Fitness Expo which is held the day before the race. All runners, volunteers and community members are invited to browse vendor and sponsor tables while picking up race information at the expo. This year wings will be worn during the race as runners help educate the com-munity about hospice. For more infor-mation on sponsorship opportunities, to purchase a set of wings or to find other ways to contribute, call (270) 762-1908 or (270) 762-1800.

You’re not in the mood to suffer fools gladly today, since you are commit-ted to a specific agenda at work and are unlikely to be stopped. Although contemplating your life’s purpose has been a valuable detour, you’re ready to shift gears and refocus on the present. Obviously, reconsidering your long-term goals can directly impact your trajectory. Nevertheless, even a minor crisis could instantaneously change everything while you balance your pan-oramic view of the distant horizon with whatever is on your plate. Don’t let your career ambitions drown out the sweet-ness of the current moment.

You may be seeking to cultivate rela-tionships with those who challenge you with opinions that are different from yours. But it’s not necessary to change your mind and simply agree with any-one else’s point of view. However, you could go to the other extreme and fight fiercely for your position, but there’s nothing to be gained by winning an ar-gument now. Instead, just engage pas-sionately and keep an open mind at all times. Life is a much more interesting ride when you leave room for surprise.

Failure is not an option today as you need to explain your intentions to oth-ers as concisely as possible. Thankful-ly, you receive a considerable amount of cosmic help while conversational Mercury is hanging out in your 7th House of Relationships. It’s easier than you realize to initiate a discussion on a difficult matter because your thoughts gain clarity as soon as you begin to verbalize your position. Just don’t try to share everything all at once; start now and bit by bit you can tell your story to those who care enough to listen.

Time is running out on your dreams, or so it feels. You have a pretty good idea of what you want in both the ro-mance and business departments, but life grows more complicated when oth-ers don’t share your same long-term goals. You are willing to go the distance now, yet someone appears to fall short of your expectations. Even if you are experiencing disappointment in the mo-ment, don’t settle for anything less than what you know you deserve.

You could be convinced that you’re one of the most pragmatic people on the planet. Nevertheless, you’re prob-ably turning molehills into mountains so adeptly now that others are willing to embark on a hard climb to the summit with you. However, this is shaky territory because you don’t have all your facts in order yet. Meanwhile, the truth will become apparent sooner or later; if you inflated reality to sell your cause to the crowd, you may be left on the hillside to fend for yourself.

An emotionally challenging situation at home may set the stage for an experi-ence that is beneficial for all involved. The opportunity for growth, however, is not likely to arrive in a stress-free environment. Instead of avoiding the bigger issues that surface now, face them head on. Even if there is some discomfort, you won’t be disappointed with the results if everyone is honest in the process.

Although relationships seem to be on an upward trajectory now, the long shadows of hidden agendas and unex-pressed feelings can darken your day. You might be concerned that the light of awareness is fading, but you receive an emotional boost from the Moon’s sweet trine to potent Pluto. It’s in your best interest to transform leftover nega-tivity into positive potential. Ultimately, it isn’t about what happens to you; it’s about how you respond. Showing your best self leaves no place for your heart to hide.

It’s nearly impossible to tap dance around the intensity today; ultimately you must go directly through the center, even if your reactions make your life more complicated than necessary. Paradoxically, the more you attempt to control your feelings now, the less pre-dictable the outcome. Fortunately, you can sustain your overall progress if you make only minor adjustments to your responses along the way. Ultimately, things should work out for the best as long as you stay true to yourself while still remaining kind to others.

Keeping secrets isn’t such a good idea now, for your suppressed feelings will likely blast their way out into the open, whether you like it or not. With-holding information can create an en-ergetic blockage, or even a backlash, prompting someone else to step in and manipulate the situation to his or her advantage. Methodically uncovering hidden facts keeps the energy moving in a positive direction. Opening your heart inspires others to do the same.

It appears as if you’re forthcoming with your feelings but appearances can be quite deceiving now. You might even choose to retreat into your shell be-cause you don’t want to waste energy expressing anything less than positive. Your current penchant for remaining silent can be awkward for others, espe-cially if they don’t know what you think about their plans. Rather than worrying about anyone else’s ideas today, focus on your own priorities and honor what’s most important to you.

A series of irritating issues may come to an unexpected head today as your pa-tience finally runs out. It might feel as if the current situation is a last-chance op-portunity to resolve a lingering problem once and for all. However, you’re eager to keep things above board and remain civil in your interactions. If you don’t get the ball rolling now, things could quickly spin out of control. Take direct action while you can; he who hesitates is lost.

Hi Guys, I’m looking for a white male, 5’10” tall, around 200 lbs., no drunks or smok-ers. Papa Frank died Dec. 23rd, 2006 from smoking, lung cancer. I don’t smoke nor drink junk. I like sweet tea, milk, and water. I’ve been alone too many years 8 3/4 now. I’m buying my home at Trezevant, TN, in the country, but my ceilings are low and I have ceiling fans. So I need a 5’10” male, 6 ft is too tall for the fans. I’m 5’9” tall, 73 years old, 185 lbs. I’ve had 2 6ft. tall guys out there and neither liked my low ceilings or fans. So, I’m looking for a shorter man. I hope you draw good Social Security to be able to help. I live on a fixed income but get by. I want a good, de-cent, Christian man to go to church with me. I’ve been a Christian 45 years and love to go to church. I hope there’s a good guy out there looking for a home and we’ll see what happens. I’m ask-ing God to help me! PTP369
