The TOEFL iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

For entrance into universities in Japan and Korea typically a score of 60-80 is needed. For enrollment into a university in the United States a score of at least 100 is required.

500 is the sort of score usually required for entrance into a local university while a score of 550 is desirable for enrollment in universities overseas.
