JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out all types of NDT methods such as Eddy Current testing, Ultrasonic Thickness Survey,

Magnetic Particle testing, Penetrant testing, Ultrasonic testing, Positive Material

Identification, Hardness testing, Radiography testing and thoroughly familiar with the scope

and limitations of each method.

Carry out the set up and calibration of equipment’s for the relevant method.

Interpret and evaluate the results with respect to applicable codes, standards and

specifications.

Organize and report the results of non-destructive tests which I have carried out.

Guidance to Level I and Trainee Personnel.

DUTIES INVOLVED IN NDT SECTOR

Visual Inspection of Weld, Castings, Boilers, Vessels, Storage Tanks, etc.

Eddy Current Testing for Tube Inspection, Paint Coatings, Sorting etc.

UT carried out in different kind of jobs like Plate, Shaft, and Pipes etc.

Lamination Check on plates, shafts etc. using Ultrasonic Testing Method.

Ultrasonic Testing in Weld Joints using Angle Probe for the detection of flaws.

Thickness measurement using Ultrasonic Testing method.

Hardness Testing for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks Welded Area.

Magnetic Particle testing in all methods like Fluorescent Method, Non-Fluorescence (Water

as well as Oil Based) – in Wet method, Dry Method, etc.

Penetrant testing of Boilers, Pressure Vessel Storage Tanks, and Flow pipe line works, etc.

Preparation and Submission of Reports and coordinating with Clients.

UT Inspection for Process Oil and Gas plant areas onshore. ASME SEC V standards.

Evaluation and Recommendation for repair and maintenance program of Pipelines and

Vessels affected by External and Internal Corrosion of Process area.

UT Inspection Carried out Oil Storage tanks, Various Static Equipment’s and Heat Exchanger.

Visual Inspection to the components selected for Periodic Inspection Program.
