Trendsetting, Bold, Empowering and Real.

becoming known as one of the most respected

names in media. That name is

REGION. “Is there a place in this world or even in this

universe that does not have a region? The answer is

no, for there is no such place. You see, everywhere

you can think of or imagine, there is a region.”

― Dr. JD Lee, Founder

File Types Supported: Hi Res PDFs are preferred.

You can also submit native Adobe InDesign, Adobe

Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop files with all supporting

art and fonts. REGION only accepts native files for the PC

platform. Any files prepared on the Macintosh platform

must have all fonts converted to the proper format and

saved as a hi res PDF. You may provide a CD of your files

or upload your PDF to [email protected]. Film

is NOT accepted.

Required Proof: In order to maintain the most

accurate color reproduction in our publication, we

prefer the calibrated GATF/SWOP approved proofs with

color bars and marks. These include: Matchprint (digital

or analogue), Creo Proof, Polaroid Proof, Kodak

Approval. We also accept Iris and Rainbow proofs.

However, REGION reserves the right to dictate color on

ads supplied with these types of proofs. Unacceptable

color proof output options for color checking include but

are not limited to: HP 5000, Epson 5000/9000/10000, Inkjet

and Color Laser Copier. These devices lack the color

consistency of higher-level proofs.

Color: All ads must be CMYK; RGB and PMS

colors are not acceptable. Due to the nature of the

printing process and paper stock, color may vary

somewhat from preferred proofs.

Images: All images must be in CMYK or

Grayscale mode at 300 dpi saved as TIFF or EPS.

Maximum ink density for any CMYK image should be

260%. Jpegs and image files using indexed color, RGB

mode or LZW compression will not output correctly.

Fonts: Please include all fonts used in your

layout. Do not stylize fonts in QuarkXPress as this may

cause them to output incorrectly.

Design Intervention: The design of an ad is an

integral part of the style of REGION. We reserve the final

approval rights on design and photography used in all

advertisements. Artwork should be approved by REGION

before final production begins.

Shipping: Please send all materials to the

attention of your account executive at:

Rates: Introductory pricing rates are based on

contracts signed on or before December 31, 2013.

Rate Protection: Rates are subject to change

at the sole discretion of the publisher. If any rate

increase occurs within the schedule of an advertising

run, advertisers will continue at their locked in rate

through the length of the term of their contract.

Approval: All advertising is subject to the

publisher’s approval, and the publisher reserves the right

to reject or cancel any advertisement, space

reservation, or position commitment at any time, with

reasonable notice to the advertiser, and whether or not

such advertising was previously acknowledged,

accepted or published. Acceptance of advertisement

by the publisher shall in no way constitute endorsement

by the publisher or the magazine for the contents of the

advertisement or the product or service advertised.

Ad Position: Exact position of advertisement,

except premium placement, is at the discretion of the

publisher and will not be bound by any condition

appearing on insertion orders or copy instructions that

conflict with the provisions of this rate card.

Materials: Written confirmation of material

corrections is required by closing date. If an advertiser

fails to provide required material to meet deadlines of

the issue in which space has been ordered, one of two

actions will be taken: (1) The last published

advertisement available will be repeated, or (2) If no

advertisement is available, the space will be forfeited. In

either case, the advertiser will be billed for the space

reserved.

Payment Policy: All advertisers must prepay

their advertisement by the publisher’s advertising

deadline. Multiple issue contracts can either be paid in

full or per week. If paying in full, the entire contract

amount is due by the first publisher’s advertising

deadline. If paying per week, the cost per insertion is due

by the week prior to the publisher’s advertising deadline.

Cancellation: All cancellations must be

received in writing no later than 2 weeks prior to that

issue’s advertising deadline. After that, the advertiser is

responsible for 100% payment of ad space for that issue

pursuant to the contract.

Limits of Liability: The liability of the publisher for

any error for which it may be held legally responsible will

not exceed the cost of the space ordered or occupied

by the error. The publisher specifically assumes no liability

for errors in key numbers. The publisher will not, in any

event, be liable for direct, special, incidental or

consequential damages, including but not limited to loss

of income or profits.
