Dear Authorities, Stakeholders and Interested & Affected Parties,  NOTICE OF COMMENT PERIOD: Environmental Impact Report for the proposed 3D Seismic Survey, Pletmos Basin, Southern Cape (PASA Reference: 12/3/322)  Further to our previous communications to you regarding the application submitted by Sungu Sungu Oil (Pty) Ltd to the Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA) for Environmental Authorisation of a proposed 3D seismic survey in the Pletmos Basin, offshore the Southern Cape, South Africa, please find enclosed the Executive Summary of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed project, for your review.     The EIR is available for public review and comment for a 30 day period (12 April ‐ 16 May 2017).  Printed copies of this report will be available for public review from Wednesday 12 April 2017 at: 

Knysna Public Library;  Plettenberg Bay Public Library;   Jeffreys Bay Public Library; and  SRK Consulting’s Office in Cape Town.

Dear Authorities, Stakeholders and Interested & Affected Parties,  NOTICE OF EXTENDED COMMENT PERIOD: Environmental Impact Report for the proposed 3D Seismic Survey, Pletmos Basin, Southern Cape (PASA Reference: 12/3/322)  As you will be aware, the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed project is currently available for public review and comment. This comment period was due to end on 16 May 2017.   Based on a stakeholder request for an extension of the comment period, SRK Consulting submitted a request for an extension of the EIA timeframes prescribed in terms of the EIA Regulations, 2014 to the Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA).   PASA today granted the requested extension, and this serves as notice that the comment period on the EIR will be extended to 15 June 2017.   Kindly ensure that your written comment is therefore submitted by 15 June 2017 to:
