First Reading: 2 Peter 3:3-7 & 17, 18The theme of our Childrens Center is: Noahs Ark where childrenenter Gods ark of salvation as they learn the timeless truths ofScripture. While the world scoffs at the truths of Scripture and evenmany churches have given up these truths our Childrens Centeris dedicated and completely true in every word.

2 Peter 3:3-7 & 17, 183 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffingand following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this `coming' hepromised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the be-ginning of creation." 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word theheavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these

waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same wordthe present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judg-ment and destruction of ungodly men.17 Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that youmay not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure posi-tion. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tohim be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Mark 10:13-1613 People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disci-ples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Letthe little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God be-

longs to such as these. 15 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the king-dom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in hisarms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

    Psalm 78:4-7

4 We will we will tell the next generationthe praiseworthy deeds of the LORD,

his power, and the wondershe has done.

5 He decreed statutes for Jacoband established the law in Israel,

which he commanded our forefathersto teach their children,

6 so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born,

and they in turn would tell their children.7 Then they would put their trust in God

and would not forget his deedsbut would keep his commands.

BEAUTIFUL, LIFE-LIKE MURALSOF NOAHS ARK AND THE FLOODWe are richly blessed to have beautiful,life-like murals of Noahs Ark and theFlood in the new ChildrensCenter. These murals have been used

in publications sold by Answers InGenesis. The publisher, New LeafPress has given us permission toreproduce these incredible paintings. They did not charge us anything to dothis. This type of generosity is unheardof in the publishing industry. We aregrateful for their generosity and theirdesire to spread the word about themessage of the Flood. The talentedartist is Tom Dooley. All he hasrequested is that we send him pictures

    of the murals.

NOT EVERYTHING IS FINISHED IN CHILDRENS CENTERIt has been our desire to have everything finished in the Childrens Center by this

Sunday, September 19th. While tremendous progress has been made toward thisgoal, there are still several items to be added to the Center. These items include:

Some hands-oninteractive activities for the Children to participate in so theymay learn about the Flood.

A dividing wall to partition the largest room into two smaller rooms in the south-east corner of the lower level.

A display of educational materials for children to learn about the reality of the

Flood of Noahits message of law and gospelGods judgment on sin andGods deliverance for all who trust in him. These materials will also demonstratein a fascinating way the historical accuracy of the Scriptures.

A desk with a computer by the registration counter. A whiteboard on the wall in the large gathering area in the middle of the Chil-

drens Center. This will allow video presentations and interactive learning.

We talked about waiting until these above items were installed, but felt that the Je-sus Kids ministry and the Before & After School care program needed to use thisspace a.s.a.p..

The natural lightingwhich filters down into the lower level of our addition is agift from the Father of the heavenly lights (James 1:17).It is healthy for children to have a source of natural light. The lights brings good cheer and warmth to whatotherwise what might have had the feel of a basement.

We are grateful to our contractors who worked on the Chil-drens Center. Many of them cut their costs or even donated materials and labor.AMAZING! They have asked us not to mention their names, but God know s whothey are.
