It is good to see more parishioners
venturing out to celebrate together our
Sunday Eucharist. For those who have
not been participating we want you to
know that we are very conscious of
following the guidelines of the Ohio
Health Department in our coming together. We
have roped off pews in a way that people are six
feet apart. People are maintaining their physical
distance in coming in and leaving church and in
approaching Holy Communion. We are
reminded that we are practicing physical
distance – all the more motivated by our
experiencing a spiritual closeness to one another
and to our Lord. We do wear masks in church
and take them down in receiving Holy
Communion.
We certainly understand that many
parishioners remain uncomfortable in
being in such a public place, especially
if there are underlying conditions to make one
more susceptible to the virus. Please continue to
spread the word that we are livestreaming the
11 a.m. Mass each Sunday which can be seen at
that time or later. Several people have
commented how much they appreciate that
we livestream the daily 6:28 a.m. Mass to be
watched at any time throughout the day. This is
one more opportunity to have a daily spiritual
booster shot from our Lord.

Help us welcome our Seminarian
DOMINIC GIDEON
who will be working with us at St. Vincent de Paul Parish
and residing at the rectory beginning
AUGUST 18, 2020!
To prepare for his arrival, we are renovating a room on the third floor (Fr. Kraker’s former room!) and want to shower him with warm
St. Vincent hospitality by equipping his room with fresh items such as new towels, sheets, bed pillows, etc.
To welcome him, we created a Housewarming Registry
for the needed items at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
To participate: Please visit www.BedBathandBeyond.com
Look for the registry for “Dominic Gideon”. The registry number is 549232302.
Select an item from the registry and have it shipped to the rectory at 164 W. Market Street, Akron 44303
Be sure to include a message so that we know from whom the gift was received!
In addition to the items above, we’d like to have a new chair, side table, and small television for Dominic’s use. If you’d like to make a financial contribution towards the purchase of these items, please drop an envelope
in the offertory basket or send a check payable to St. Vincent Church to the rectory marked “Housewarming.”
