The Study Abroad Program in Architecture at Universidad Europea de Madrid consists of a selection of the best and most interesting NAAB official courses of our Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. This program can be taken both in the Fall (September to December) and Spring terms (March to June).All the courses are offered in English.

The courses/activities of the Study Abroad Program are:• Design Workshop.• Technical Systems.• History of Art and Architecture.• Spanish Language.• BIM and FabLab workshop is included in the Design studio module.• Architectural trips to Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Sevilla and Granada.

II. TECHNICAL SYSTEMS•Identificationoftheelementsandconstructivesystems,fordefiningitsfunctionandcompatibility,itsimplementationintheconstructive process.

•Aptitudetoconsiderandsolveconstructivedetails.•ExecutionofdesignsintegratedbetweenFacilities,Construction

and Structures, emphasizing the mutual interaction of these three disciplines in the design process, looking for the most rational solutionsinallcontexts,aswellasitsinfluenceinthearchitecturaldesign.

•Projectanalysisanditsadaptationtotheirexecution.•Applicationoftechnicalregulationtothedesignprocessandtogeneratetechnicalspecificationoftheproceduresandconstructivemethods, with critical vision.

III. HISTORY OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE •Analyzeandstudytheartistic,architecturalandurban

manifestation from Prehistory to the Renaissance, complementing the knowledge and understanding as well as to have as a valuable tool to stimulate creativity.

•Relatethecompositional,constructiveandfunctionalproblemssolving throughout history, from ancient architecture to the present.

•Integratethecontentsofthesubjectwiththoseprovidedinothercourses.

•Gatherinformationaboutliteratureandgraphiccontentsofthesubjectanddisplaytheirresultsinascientificway.

•StudythehistoryofSpanishartandarchitecturetoensurecomprehensive and critical understanding of the past and present reality in which these studies are geographically framed.
