The used Test equipment non linear load is in a certain way constructed, that the load steps are selectable, but the connection to the UPS Load side is performed with a global automatic contactor. Before a load step change will be active and released, the to-tal nonlinear load is discon-nected from the UPS and with a time delay reconnected with the preselected step again. In this way the equipment is not able to proceed in steps as described in clause 6.3.8.5. The reason for this control of the non linear load bank is made to ensure that the inside used DC capacitors are pre-charged and discharged in a secure way.

System will be overloaded with 110% and 135% of normal load. The time will be checked refer to the specified time interval of the manufacturer.

Overload capability is software controlled.
