    BOY'S WILDCAT GOLFERS ARE DISTRICT CHAMPS

    Congratulations to the Wildcat boys golf team who won District on Tuesday. TheWILDCATS were led in the 2-day District 12-4A Tournament by Sophomore

    Johnny Cochran who shot a 91- 91 to claim 2 nd place individual medalist honorsin the district. The Wildcats team beat arch rival Hillcrest team by a total of 71strokes----761to 832, and Bryan Adams came in a distant 3 rd .

    Completing The Fav Five (as former Coach Gindratt calls them) are SeniorsRyder Billings , Nick Muston , Kevin Berry and Jack Wamre . Johnny Cochran , Ryder Billings , and NickMuston qualified for the May 3 rd DISD City Championships. Alternate to the Fav Five, Sophomore Clint Joaquim shot an excellent 93 on day 1 of District and will also accompany the team to Regionals. The Wildcats advance toplay in the UIL 4A Region II Tournament at Robson Ranch in Denton on April 21 and 22.

    Coach Crabb would like to note that each of the Fav Five have leads in the Woodrow Musical, and accomplished thisGREAT district win by getting up extra early both Monday and Tuesday after late night musical practices. This shows

    great WILDCAT SPIRIT! Good Luck at Regionals!

    STUDENT CONSERVATIONASSOCIATION INTERNSHIP

    The Student Conservation Association in Dallas, Texas is now hiringhigh school students ages 15-18 for summer positions 2010 (allpositions come with stipend). SCA's mission is to build thenext generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelongstewardship of our environment and communities by engagingyoung people in hands-on service to the land. ProgramInformation:

    * Work consists of trail maintenance and site restorationprojects in the Dallas area.

    * Participants will learn about your local environmentthrough field trips led by Crew Leaders.* Plan and go on a recreational camping trip where

    participants will learn outdoor skills, and visit local parks.* Summer Crews consist of two leaders and 10 members.* Students will commute each day to and from a central

    location before heading out to work.* A willingness to work outdoors with other students is

    required.

    TEXAS ARMED SERVICES

    SCHOLARSHIPThe Texas Armed Services Scholarship has been created to assist

    promising students from throughout the state who are committed toeducation and service. It encourages young leaders to participate inthe Texas Guard, Army National Guard, or Air National Guard, or to become commissioned officers in the United States armedservices.The scholarship will provide recipients with up to $10,000 per academic year for up to four years (out of the five years allowed for graduation) toward undergraduate education at any Texas university

    SENIOR PARTY CALENDAR COORDINATOR

    CLASS OF 2012 YARD SALE

    The Class of 2012 will host a yard sale on Saturday, April 24, from 8:00am - 2:00pm atthe YMCA on Gaston. In the event of rain, the yard sale will be held the following week(Saturday May 1.) Thanks to the Y for graciously allowing us the use of their property.
