The sounds of Christmas filled the air at Choir and
Band Christmas Concerts this week. Leslie Hooe, Choir
Director and Adrian Alonso, Band Director have worked
with their students all fall to perfect their performances.

JV Results:
Player of the Game: Ellisha Turner
The JV team played at the Crandall Tournament on
Dec. 1st. Despite being a young team they are progressing well.
Varsity Results: 8-9
Player of the Tourney: Destiny Mathews
The varsity girls competed in the Brownsboro East Texas Shootout
this past weekend and finished with 3 wins vs. Van, Crandall and
Port Neches Grove and 1 loss vs. Texas High. Tourney.
Leading scorer(s): Destiny Mathews 87 pts., Jabria Simmons 49
pts., JMya Reeves 22pts.

The Girls’ Basketball Teams traveled to Texas College in Tyler to support our own Jaila Cook, a Class of 2018 standout who now attends Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, Texas).
Jaila is a member of the Women's Basketball Team and is doing well in college.

On Monday, the PJH Choir participated in the annual
PISD Fine Arts Department Winter Concert.
PJHS began 12 days of Christmas Appreciation for teachers last
week. Teachers got surprised with a Hot Chocolate station on
wheels, Tuesday and a waffle bar on Thursday.
This week our PJHS students participated in Academic UIL
Competition. 23 Students traveled to Rusk on Tuesday, and on
Thursday, 66 students participated in UIL Academics.

Top earners in this year’s campus fundraiser were treated to a limo ride
and lunch at Mazzio’s.
The Rotary Club delivered dictionaries to every
student on the Southside campus.

Well, the big man in the red suit came to visit Texas ACE kids at Northside because they have been so good.
