Student Spotlight

Congratulations!

Rohan Dhume, Alex Campbell, and Anthony Maisano on their win

in the Fulton County STEM DAY Marble Competition in May. They built a track that kept their mar-ble rolling for the longest amount of time

(43 Seconds). Their win secured NMS $150.00 toward the purchase of STEM resource materials. We are very proud of

their achievement!

Staff Spotlight

We would like to recognize our graduation coach, Ms. Michelle Robbins this week.

She wears many hats, but ultimately all her hats relate to one goal and that is to en-sure the success of all our students! Ms. Robbins did a fantastic job this week in dis-

tributing textbooks to all our students – which is not an easy task but because of her dedication and well thought out plan, our students have their books and have al-

ready begun using them! Thank you Ms. Robbins for all that you do for our school!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

SLO Testing for all World Language

Students

Next Monday through Thursday, students enrolled in

World Language classes will be taking a pre-test as-

sessment during one class period called SLO (Student

Learning Objectives). The primary purpose of SLOs

is to improve student achievement at the classroom

level. An equally important purpose of SLOs is to pro-

vide evidence of each teacher’s instructional impact

on student learning. This allows teachers to plan for

student success by ensuring that every minute of in-

struction is moving students, teachers, and schools

toward the common vision of exemplary instruction

and high levels of student academic growth. Please

try to ensure World Language students are here dur-

ing their testing times as this is a state mandated

assessment. (Teachers will communicate testing day

and time to students).
