MVUSD 8th grade students will have the opportunity to take their 1st

practice college entrance exam and receive detailed feedback to facilitate academic growth. On average, students who take the PSAT

will score 120 points higher on the SAT than those who don’t. Taking the PSAT will provide students with the tools needed to attain

your college and career goals. Please see the MVUSD letter on the next page.

Please remember the night before the PSAT to do the following: • Get a good night’s rest • Eat a well-balanced breakfast • Prepare a healthy snack for test day

� Submit your entry to your Language Arts teacher by Thursday, February 25th. � All submissions must be your original work, created by you between July 2015 and February 2016.

TYPES OF ENTRIES:

Writing Poems, short stories, and essays must be submitted via computer to your Language Arts teacher or to Mrs. Stanford.

Art Art must be submitted in black ink on white paper (may be done in pencil and retraced if needed) and 8 ½” x 11” is the only size that will be accepted.
