Ashley Key was drafted 35th overall in 2007 by the Indiana Fever. Kaayla Chones was drafted 15th overall in the 2004 draft by the Washington Mystics and played two season there. Andrea Stinson played nine seasons in the WNBA and became the first Charlotte Sting player to have her jersey retired. Tynesha Lewis played for the Houston Comets, Charlotte Sting and Minnesota Lynx. Summer Erb played three seasons with the Charlotte Sting and is currently an assis- tant coach at UNC Asheville. Sharon Manning spent three seasons with fellow ACC member Wake Forest as an assistant coach. She played with the Charlotte Sting and Miami Sol. Jennifer Howard played for the Cleveland Rockets and now works as a media pro- ducer with the Jackson Group Interactive. Trena Trice-Hill played professional basketball overseas and at one time was a member of the WNBA’s New York Liberty. Umeki Webb played for both the Phoenix Mercury and the former WNBA franchise Miami Sol. Alvine Mendeng was invited to the Minnesota Lynx training camp in 2008. Rhonda Mapp played for both the Charlotte Sting and the Los Angeles Sparks. Tiffany Stansbury was drafted 29th overall in 2006 by Houston. She played the 2007 WNBA season with Minnesota. NC State Women’s Basketball WNBA History

Trudi Lacey, an All-American at NC State, was head coach and general manager of the Charlotte Sting.
