● Warning Re: TikTok Challenge (Devious Licks): An emerging trend on TikTok is called the
Devious Licks Challenge in which young people post videos of themselves stealing or destroying property, most often at schools. While we, thankfully, have not yet seen evidence of our students participating in thi s behavior, I wanted to bring this to the attention of our families so that we could collaboratively support and monitor student social media usage. TikTok has removed any videos that are tagged this way, however, some districts have seen continued damage to property. Please speak with your students to help prevent this type of behavior. ● ● Technology Update: Our Technology Coordinator , Ms. Ot t ing, has been working to ensure
all students have regular access to the ir devices. In par tnership with our Main Office we can provide loaner devices to student s to ut ilize while at school, in the even t that they leave their own device at home. We can also provide loaner chargers for studen ts whose devices have not been fully charged. As a par t of the student Device Usage MOU, we wanted to share the cost char t with families as well. We hope that we never have to ut ilize th is char t , however , in the int erest of t ransparency, we want to share with fam ilies the possible charges associated with lost or damaged school devices. Please review the char t below, for your reference.

TESTING UPDATES
● Upper School MAP Testing will cont inue unt il 09/ 30 / 2021. Please encourage your student to bring a well- charged device to school and to get plenty of rest the night before their assessments. Please reach out to teachers with specific test ing date quest ions.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
CCP at Spencer: College Credit Plus (CCP) is Ohio's dual enrollment program that provides
students in grades 7- 12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credit s at the same
t ime by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universit ies. The purpose of this program is to
enhance students' career readiness and post secondary success, while providing a wide
var iety of opt ions to college- ready students, at no or limited costs to students and families.

Timeline:
● October -February — Attend information session and meet with your school

orientation
