21 Carlsberg Group companies switched of their lights at 8.30 pm.
Group impressions from Earth Hour 2012
This year a record of 150 countries, 6602 towns and cities switched off their lights for Earth Hour.
Carlsberg supported this with no less than 21 companies turning off the lights in 38 breweries and malteries, 64 office buildings and distribution centres, and by switching off the light in 49 brand signs across the world.

Carlsberg UK turned off all non essential lights in 14 sites in total as a part of the Carlsberg Environmental Community

Earth Hour 2012 impressions- Croatia
Carlsberg Croatia supported Earth Hour this year by organizing the event Happy Earth Hour in outlets in eight Croatian cities! Every guest was greeted with a cosy candlelight atmosphere and a free Somersby. Guests were also informed about the Earth Hour initiative and Carlsberg’s support for Earth Hour on a global level.
The TV- and radio host, Tatjana Jurić supported Carlsberg Croatia's Happy Earth Hour in one of popular Zagreb city bars.
Earth Hour 2012 impressions- Kazakhstan
Electricity was switched off at the brew house and office buildings which saved 921 kWh in total.
Together with an employee quiz on effective use of natural resources Carlsberg Kazakhstan managed to create a lot of attention on climate change.
Earth Hour 2012 impressions- Lithuania
Creative Earth Hour celebrations:
In Svyturys-Utenos Alus, Lithuania, CEO Rolandas Virsilas issued a call for all companies in Lithuania to participate in Earth Hour 2012.
Virsilas made a personal pledge to turn off all electrical power in his home for three days if 100 Lithuanian companies took part in Earth Hour!
