from the hostess; giving us your thoughts on how we are doing! –The Collington Culinary Team IT’S TIME TO UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION: The Clinic needs to have your most current information on file whether or not you use the Clinic as your Primary Care Provider. This includes insurance, MOLST forms and advance directives, contact information for families, medications, lab work, surgeries or procedures. If you use an outside provider or specialist please provide a summary of their notes and test results. This information may be needed if you become ill or need hospitalization after hours. Weekday afternoons are the best time to do this update. MANY THANKS FROM TWO COMMITTEES: The Hospitality and Drama committees give a shout out of THANKS to everyone who helped make our Mardi Gras celebration such a rollicking success! Especially to Marvell Adams who so graciously and expertly crowned our king and queen; to king Sheik Fahnbulleh, and queen Eloise Branch; to our Dining Services staff who provided wonderful food and refreshments; to our own musicians, the Collingcats, as well as our annual visitors "Swamp Dog.” To all the good folks who helped decorate, pass out beads and masks -- and especially to all the Revelers who came out to keep the good times rolling!!! SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT: Please join the Social Service Department on March 22, 2017 @ 1:00 PM in the auditorium. Paul Ballard, Assistant Attorney General, will be covering information on Health Care Decision Making, Advance Directives, and the Maryland MOLST Form. If you are unable to attend the presentation, Advance Directive information can be found in the social services department as well at The Maryland Attorney General's Office 410-576-7000 or 1-888-743-0023. GREENHOUSE CLEARING BY MARCH 15: All persons who have held plants in the Greenhouse this winter are urged to remove them by or before March 15. This will make room for the Garden Committee to fill the Greenhouse with bedding plants and tomato plants to be grown for sale in April.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION, FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 3:00PM to 5:00PM - IVY ROOM: The Hospitality Committee invites everyone who has the spirit of the Irish to come and enjoy the free beer, hors d'oeuvres, and cash bar. There will be music and song and merriment.

FROM THE LIBRARY COMMITTEE: Don't trash your magazines! Bring them to the Periodical Room where there is a green box on the floor just inside the door; then more people can enjoy them. Our next Library Committee meeting is March 6 at 10AM in the Board Room. ATTENTION BINGO PLAYERS: In the month of March, BINGO will be played on Wednesday, March 15 at 7PM in the Game Room. Questions? Please call Ardyce Asire x7348. NEWS FROM THE COUNTRY STORE: Ain’t sharing great! Sharing gossip, sharing news, sharing rides, sharing meals, sharing door handles, sharing hugs and handshakes. And sharing germs! We all seem proficient at that. I wonder if the germs have figured out the best places to wait for a ride from me to you. Well, in an effort to confuse them the Country Store now stocks liquid hand soap, Clorox hand wipes, liquid hand sanitizer in both home use size and pocket size, and of course Kleenex. If that doesn’t do the trick we have shelves of over-the-counter drugs recommended by the Clinic. Let’s make these Collington germs struggle for their lives. And as a last resort you can pick up a face mask at Security or Clock Tower desks. But then that may inhibit sharing. Be well! MEDICAL SPECIALISTS UPDATE: Joe Howard is updating the “Medical Specialists” document, a copy of which is in the Library. (Go

to back wall, turn right, and go to the wall). Please send any additions/corrections/updates to [email protected] - or put in slot 2017 - or call 301-925-7265 by March 15. TWO 1 ACT PLAYS!: Mark your calendars for two one-act plays coming soon to the Auditorium! The Drama Committee will present two one-act plays by George Bernard Shaw on March 18, 19, and 21. Seating is first-come, first-admitted, and remember that there will be a third performance on Tuesday, the 21st! Director Tim Sabin describes the plays this way: Overruled: It is high summer of 1922 and the Lunns and the Junos are bored with one another. So the couples have separated and travelled by ship around the world only to meet at the same hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, where each of these bons vivants flirts with the wrong spouse. Or how wrong is it? O’Flaherty, V.C.: For his service in France during World War I, young Dennis O’Flaherty has been awarded the Victoria Cross for "... most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy.” Even a general like the lord of his manor is obliged to salute him first. O’Flaherty has been brought back to his home village to recruit for the British Army, a great surprise to his Irish mother, who thinks he has been fighting the English themselves. And a surprise to his girlfriend Tessie that he hasn’t been wounded and gotten some great payment. What a shock to boot that his general and squire finds out O’Flaherty is no better than a thieving rascal. He’s a great disappointment to them and to the parish priest. Perhaps it would be best just to go back to France.
