MUSIC COMMITTEE CONCERT, SUNDAY, MAY 1, 3PM - AUDITORIUM: Our performer this week will be Jim Vandelly. Jim plays the Accordion and the Bayan. Much of the music played on the Bayan will be Russian, with melodies which will be familiar. Jim has played at the Smithsonian, the Russian and British Embassies. MISSING LIBRARY BOOKS: The library staff has just completed an extensive inventory. We were distressed to find that 1081 books are missing -- that is, they are not on the shelves and there is no record of their being signed out. The largest category of missing books is Mystery, with 456. We are also missing 380 in Fiction, 125 in Large Print and 120 in History. Lists of some of the missing titles will be posted outside the library door. NOMINATING COMMITTEE NOTICE: The Nominating Committee is beginning its work of identifying a slate of candidates for Collington's Residents Association Executive Committee -- President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, -- to be elected in the fall. Those interested in running for office, and those wishing to propose others for office should contact a member of the committee, which consists of Marlene Browne, Joyce Koch, John Geron, Marion Henry, George Newman (chair), and Herb Stone. The Nominating Committee's slate of candidates will be announced at least 30 days before the annual Residents Association membership meeting to be held on October 7, 2016. Additional candidates may be nominated by a petition signed by at least 25 residents and submitted to the Nominating Committee no later than 15 days before the annual meeting.

This year there are 9 shows in total all at 12PM and the cost of the series will be $315.00. ROUNDHOUSE THEATER: It is that time again! The 2016-2017 subscription for Roundhouse Theater starts in September. If you have not already, you may renew your subscription for the Sunday matinees at 2PM. Admission to the museum is $4 for seniors.

The museum is fully accessible and the majority of the exhibits are on the first level. There is an elevator for anyone who wants to visit the second floor and is unable to use the stairs. Brown Bag lunches are held in the Auditorium where people are encouraged to bring a lunch and listen to a 20-minute talk. Keep in mind lunch will not be offered at this discussion. The topic will be Zeppelins, Blimps and Airships.
