AIESEC was founded in 1948 by a group of seven determined individuals. These individuals had one purpose, a purpose which has remained unchanged for almost seven decades.

Today, AIESEC is an not-for-profit organization spread across 126 countries and countless cities. Yet each and every member is connected to each other through this purpose - it is our uniting thread, a common goal we all share.

Our mission is to achieve peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential. And the solution is leadership. As a global network, we strongly believe that leadership is the fundamental solution to all of the world's problems. Our membership and exchange programs create experiential leadership development like no other organisation. Through our programs, AIESEC aims to impact society by developing young leaders who will be the decision makers of the world tomorrow.

Why are we here?

The portfolio is vital to the function of AIESEC Sydney, and is responsible for the direction, sustainability and the growth of it as an enterprise.
