About Olga Olga Jaquenette Hill, a native of Chicago, IL was
destined to be a writer. The desire was
there, but as many of us know, it sometimes
takes life experiences to motivate us. Olga
attended Curie High School of the
Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois which laid
the foundation and sparked her creativity
and her heart’s desire in creative writing and
poetry. Upon graduating from Curie, Olga’s
formal education began at Columbia College,
School of Broadcasting in Chicago; her focus
of studies was Journalism. After a year of
studies at Columbia College, Olga ventured
off to explore the interest that she had in Fashion Merchandise with a minor in
Communications, later attending Memphis State University. Olga found that this
field of studies was what she really wanted to pursue and with her persistent spirit,
she researched and found an institute that was noted in her major and landed
herself in Atlanta, GA. Olga applied and was accepted into the Art Institute of
Atlanta, majoring in Fashion Merchandise. However, before having the
opportunity to live out her dream of studies, Olga was hospitalized and wasn’t
able to begin classes. Due to the distance between Atlanta and Chicago, Olga’s
parents moved her back home, where they could care for her during that time.
Olga began to feel a since of instability in her life and soon ventured out and
became a business owner at the age of twenty-six. She opened the first and only
Bridal Accessory and Consulting Service in Peoria, IL. Due to a domino effect of
health challenges and several surgeries, the Boutique closed and every job
thereafter was short-lived. Olga turned to God for guidance, strength and
understanding for the course of her life that had taken a different turn from what
she had envisioned for herself. Olga’s experiences led her into her spiritual growth
journey, in which she found herself returning to one of her passions, writing.
Her writing ministry has become her life’s work, sharing her faith, encouraging,
uplifting and empowering others to never give up. She is the author of

The Window: A Reflection of Hope
The Window: A Reflection of Hope
is an exciting read, one which is extremely
powerful as it reveals the tremendous faith that
governs Noel’s entire existence; from that she
draws the strength and resolve to overcome,
and yes, defeat serious challenges to her health.
It also shares with the reader how the
unconditional love and support of one’s family
and friends undergirds that faith, and assists
Noel in gaining the victory over seemingly
unsurmountable obstacles. The heroine,
indeed, has squeezed the lemon and made it
into lemonade, not saccharine sweet, but
deliciously tart, thirst-quenching and refreshing.
All who come to know Noel's struggle through

I was at the 2002 Race for the Cure and I
received a card with your poem “Just
Beyond” printed on it. It was beautiful and
heart-felt. I have a friend that was just
diagnosed with breast cancer and I am hoping
to share this with her. Is there anywhere I can
get a copy of this inspirational poem?

The Window: A Relection of Hope `
A Great Inspiring Reflective Read ` Olga's book is a journey that every human being should be
required to take. I find it most enjoyable with its honest reflections, meaty meditations, and

The Window: A Reflection of Hope
A must read for those who have found themselves in a place that only God could rescue them.
The story takes you on a journey of one woman's triumph over many trials and tribulations in
which through hope and faith in God she was able to see beyond the challenges of her life. It is
a rebirth of a faith that was once lost. The author was so true to the character in this book that
as a reader I was able to walk in the shoes of Noel and feel her pain. The Window: A Reflection
of Hope brings about a reflection of one's own life and how truly good God is and that He is the
only way to true happiness and joy even in the midst of pain.

I just read your book. What a brilliant writer you are. Once I began to read it I couldn't put it
down. I know you are wondering who I am, but I meet you in Office Depot the other day.
The Window is a book that everyone should have in there possession, especially those that
have forgotten that God is an awesome God, that he will deliver you in a time of trouble, and
will answer your prayers according to your level of faith. I have friends that are going through
storms, and I will certainly encourage them to purchase your book. Beverly, Memphis, TN
In a straight forward way, like the Apostle Paul who heard the Lord say to him, "My grace is
sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness," the author, Olga J. Owens has
arrived at such a point where she can use some of her life's thorns to inspire courage and
patience in other sufferers, while also, shaming the healthy into giving thanksgiving for their
health. Pastor Myron F. McCoy, Chgo, IL
You are an awesome vessel for the Lord as it relates to writing. Everyone that I've shared the
book with has been tremendously blessed and inspired. I am still forwarding it to various
members of my staff. They are sharing reports daily. Brenda Powell, Memphis, TN
There are all kinds of ways to measure how well you are in life. None of the measurements
quit suffice if one do not have faith in God., I encourage others to make this book, "The
Window: A Reflection of Hope" a part of their life. Pastor Reginald Spight, Hornlake, MS
