Development of an Android Application for Efficient
Handling of Corporate Data
Shubhashree Kokate, S. V. Kedar, Trupti Shivsharan* Dept. of Information Technology, RSCOE, Pune-33, India
Abstract In the corporate world, a large amount of data needs to be handled and managed efficiently. Therefore, an enterprise application that would help in efficient handling of
data and reduce manual work needs to be developed. Sometimes in a particular
organization, it becomes necessary to take quick decisions based on data from any location. Android is widely used and is an easily available operating system in smart
phones. As Android is open source, it is easy to implement the application on this platform. So, the authors have implemented a system by binding features, namely security
and decision making into a single application. This paper introduces a system, which
contains two modules, namely, Manager Application and Employee Book. Manager Application is an android-based mobile application developed for handling large amount
of corporate data from any location. This application includes decision making for team
formation and graphs for employee performance tracking. Employee Book is a desktop application for employees to manage their own personal data as well as work data.
Keywords: Employee Book, Manager Application, security, decision making

Real-Time Road Traffic Signal Monitoring and
Controlling using Blind Scheduling Algorithm
Shweta Vinod Achchha, Geetanjali Subhash Mate, Sneha Shashikant Ghodke, Payal
Manoj Wattamwar* JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering University of Pune, Tathawade, Pune, India
Abstract We normally see at signals even if there is no vehicle at the other end still the GREEN
signal comes. If that time can be utilized for other end where there is more congestion or
more vehicles then the traffic will be easily controlled. The current system is statically
controlled signal. Every end is predetermined with a specific time period where it signals
Green. We are proposing a System that will be installed at every congested Cross way
Road Signal. The System using Blind Scheduler can detect the number of vehicles on the path and updates the count at computer end. The system periodically collects and
accordingly applies the logic to decide at what end the traffic is more. Accordingly the system manages the signal time and ensures a smooth flow of traffic. In this project, we
consider a blind scenario where vehicle frequency and signal service time parameters
are not available. We aim at developing a blind scheduling algorithm (BSA) that performs well across magnitudes of fairness, simplicity and asymptotic optimality for a
relatively general Traffics Signal Management.BSA routes the new vehicles to the other end whose weighted idle time is the longest. If there is no vehicle on the road the green
signal will not be given at that roadside.
