INTRODUCTION

The claim group consists of 73 unpatented mining claims, ten (10) cf'which are included in this report.

February 29, 2000, Picket line 1+OOE from the 1997 grid (Gwen Resources) was recut and two men chained to be used as the new East ba seline for a distance of 2000 meters. Picket lines were turned off the new baseline every 100 meters and stations established every 25 meters. The new detail grid is being read by both magnetometer and VLF-EM Surveys to help define the East/West contacts found in the original grid.

The linecuttinc and chaining v/as performed by Mr. Paul Si ford and crew.

The magnetometer survey was performed by Miss Jamie Hennessey and the electromagnetic survey was performed by i-irs. Jan Hennessey.

All drafting, contouring and report writing was done by Miss Hendy K. Weller.

Ownership of the aforementioned unpatented miningclaims has been attested to by 559505 Ontario Ltd., Mr. Alexander H. Perron, and The Perron Gold Corp., end was not independently ascertained by the writer.

LOCATION AND ACCESS

Highway 672, better known as the Harker-Holloway Road, extends north-south across the eastern boundary of the mapped area. The property is therefore reached from Kirkland Lake by travelling 13 km east on Highway 66, then 36 km north on 672 tc the claims. Conversely, the claims may be reached by travelling 45 km east from Matheson on Highway 101 and then 14 km sou"." en 672. (See Figure la) and Figure Id).

The majority of the property has been logged, and second growth consisting of tag alder and/or willow is present. Seme of the logged area has been sprayed in order to stop the growth of deciduous trees and shrubs. Considerable areas have been replanted with pine. A few stands of spruce have been spared; generally cedar swamp have been left uncut.

Relief over the claims does not exceed 20 or 25 meters. The terrain is flat to gently rolling to rugged with the development of cliffs.

GENERAL GEOLOGY

(OGS-Geology) of Thackeray, Elliott, Tannahill and Dokis Townships)by L. S. Jensen states ((The area is underlain by Early Pre cambrian (Archean) volcanic rocks. Northeast trending diabase dikes of Middle to Late Precambrian age intrude the volcanic rocks.))

The tholeiitic volcanic rocks occur in.Elliott Township. The theoleiitic sequence is composed of three rock types, low-iron, magnesium rich tholeiitic basalt, iron-rich tholeiitic basalt and thol ei i tic rhyoli te.

Table of Lithologic Units for Elliott Township. (See Figure le).

INSTRUMENTATION

Magnetometer Survey:

This system uses a backward motion of spinning protons of a hydrogen atom within fluid of hydrogen and carbon. These spinning magnetic protons are caused to have two opposite poles by applying a magnetic fluid using a current within a coil of wire. This frequency of precision is proportional to the earth's total magnetic field.

Th1s Instrument Is read directly In gammas which Is the absolute value of the earth's total field for that station.

The diurnal variation was monitored by closing each loop at any secondary check station, at a grid line, baseline Intersection, Diurnal corrections were applied by linear distribution of any obser ved variation over the time between base stations.

Electromagnetic Survey;

The VLF-EM method uses as a source, several of the main submarine comminucations transmitters in the 15 to 25 kHz band found throughout the world.

The submarine communication radio waves travel in a single mode parallel to the surfaces of the earth slong the earth-air Interace.

VLF instruments are capable of picking up any structures that change the'direction of the waves by measuring the tilt angle being zero on flat ground, but when a conductor 1s present, the tnt angle will acquire a finite value. The direction of tilt indicates the direction of tha conductor.

Calculations of such, parameters as depth, depth extent, dip and width of the conductors is very minimal.

The VLF easily illustrates the location of the upper limitof dipping structures which can be seen or plotted as VLF profiles as areas of greatest change in tilt angle per unit of distance.

The instrument used for this survey was a Geonics EM-16 Unit. The sensitivity of this unit is l* for the inphase and r.', for the quadrature. The operating frequency for the EM-16 from 15-25 kHz and the station is made by plug-in units.

Further information on the VLF and the magnetometer can be found in the back of this report on the Technical Data and Assessment forms.

PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF RESULTS

i) Magnetometer Survey 1998: .

The field data is presented on Map No. 50-G/2000/Nmg2 at a scale of 1:50,000 found in the back pocket of this report.

The magnetic data is illustrated as isomagnetic contours, contour intervals 100 gammas, on a map of corrected magnetic values recorded at each station.

Page 10: LARDER LAKE MINING DIVISION - Ontario · LARDER LAKE MINING DIVISION DISTRICT OF TIMISKAMING, ONTARIO NTS 320/5 INTRODUCTION The claim group consists of 73 unpatented mining claims,

-4-

The magnetic trend is in an east to northeast direction. The magnetic relief ranges from 57,363 gammas to 58,491 gammas. In 1993, Mr. R. K. Germundson mapped the contact of the Blake River Group and Kinojevis Group in the area of the magnetic high running through the center of the grid.

ii) Electromagnetic Survey:

The field data is presented on the Map No.50-G720007Nvlf2 The map is drawn at a scale of 1:50000 meters, found at the back of this report.

In this small section of the new south grid, two distinctive anomalies were found.

C3 - Crosses PL400S 235S to PL600E 150S.There are no outcrop showings in this area to help define the origin of the contact. The topography of the area is glacial debrie, to flat low lying areas covered in second growth of pine, alder, poplar and jack replant. The quadrature is negative.

C4 - Crosses PL400E 900S to PL600E 850S.The area has no visible outcrop showings. The topography of the area is flatlying cedar swamp and second growth of alder and poplar and pine. The quadrature is positive. At present time the VLF Survey is being run through a fraser filter program to help eliminate background noise.

OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS

The grid is being completed and will be read with both instruments. At the completion of the grid all information will be assessed and the next stage of the program will be run.

Respectfully submitted,

March 18, 2000 Miss Wendy K. WellerGeotech
