No AutoSupports have been received in over 30 days. Please check the configuration of this system to ensure successful delivery ofAutoSupport data.

System(s) 3058297, 1060435 do not have current AutoSupport data available. AutoSupport should be turned on for the system(s) in order toreceive complete STOR analysis.

AutoSupport Data Not AvailableThe STOR report relies on AutoSupport data to provide the most accurate evaluation of each system’s configuration, utilization andavailability. The systems listed in this table have not provided NetApp with AutoSupport data for the previous 12 months. As a result, thefollowing systems will not be included in the majority of this report; however, if it applies to them, the systems are eligible to be included in the"P1 Cases Created within the Last Six Months" section.

AutoSupport information can be missing because AutoSupport is not enabled on a system, AutoSupport is enabled but is not reachingNetApp or because the AutoSupport data sent to NetApp was garbled by intermediate gateways or processes. Please check and test theAutoSupport configuration on these systems to ensure they can be included in your next STOR report.

Note:

NetApp best practices recommend maintaining all systems on the latest available shelf module firmware level in order to maintain systemstability and performance. The Disk Shelf and I/O Module Firmware Matrix on NOW(http://support.netapp.com/NOW/download/tools/diskshelf/) lists the bugs fixed with each firmware release. Please talk with your PS Advisorto learn the benefits of upgrading to the latest firmware release and how this may affect your environment.

Disk Firmware ReviewThe following table shows the version of disk firmware installed on each disk as of the latest received AutoSupport. It also shows the latestavailable version of disk firmware for each disk model installed in the field. The total disk count shows the number of disks installed on thesystem. The Model / FW Count indicates the number of disks installed on each system that have the same model and firmware installed. Thiscount does not include disks owned by partner systems if this system is a member of a cluster.

The “Utilization” column represents the total configured file system space for the system. Aggregates less than 85% full are shown ingreen.Aggregates between 85% and 95% full are shown in yellow. These aggregates should be investigated to determine if storage efficiencyfeatures can be leveraged for additional capacity. Aggregates more than 95% full are shown in red. These aggregates should be investigatedto ensure that this condition is intentional and does not negatively impact the environment.

The “Configuration” column references the analysis performed in the system details section. If there are no issues, notices, or warningsdetected, the status will be green. If there are notices or configurations that might be problematic, the status will be yellow. If there arewarnings, or if the configuration definitely needs to be reviewed, the status will be red.

In the “Software Expansion” column, when a system has used 85% or more of its configured storage, and two or fewer of the available storageefficiency features are in use, the status will be yellow. If a system is at or above 85% of its configured storage, and if four of the storageefficiency features are in use, the status will be red. This indicates that it’s likely that hardware expansion will be the best way to provideadditional capacity. All other configurations will be shown as green.

In the “Hardware Expansion” column, if a system can be expanded by configuring existing storage, adding more storage, or using morevolume capacity, the status will be green. If a system can only be expanded in two or fewer of these categories, the status will be yellow. If thesystem cannot be expanded in any of these categories, the status will be red. There will also be red status indicators for “End of Life” and “Endof Support” systems.

Storage Efficiency DashboardThis table demonstrates the use of key NetApp storage efficiency features. Each system is evaluated for support of features such asdeduplication, thin provisioning, RAID-DP, Snapshot copies, FlexClone and SnapVault. If a feature is in use, this analysis quantifies thestorage savings that results from use of the feature. The savings reported for RAID-DP and Snapshot copies are based on comparisons withindustry-standard practices typically employed to achieve similar storage efficiency. Details on the calculations and data sources used todetermine the savings presented are available online at:

This feature can provide space savings of 20 – 33%. Thin Provisioning is enabled by configuringvolumes as FlexVols with non-guaranteed space. Your storage consultant can provide you with details.

Storage Controller(s) 3061236,3061261 may be able to take advantage of the free Deduplication feature of Data ONTAP. This feature canprovide storage savings of 25 – 55% for most data sets and up to 95% for full backups or VMWare environments. Your storage consultantcan provide you with details.

Storage Controller(s) 3076908,3076909,1037140 may be able to take advantage of the built in Double Parity RAID groups. This featuresaves up to 46% of storage compared with Mirrored RAID groups. This feature is enabled by configuring raiddp RAID groups. The use ofRAID-DP is strongly recommended to improve the storage resiliency of these systems. Your storage consultant can provide you with details.

“N/A” indicates this feature is not supported on this platform and operating system combination.

This feature is particularly useful indesign and development environment where large temporary data sets need to be replicated and then modified for testing purposes. In thoseenvironments a savings of over 80% can be realized. FlexClones are supported on the version of Data ONTAP currently installed. Yourstorage consultant can provide you with details on the FlexClone features of Data ONTAP.

Potential Hardware ExpansionThis table provides an overview of the potential hardware storage expansion for each system in this environment. Use this information to planfuture storage expansion of the existing systems. End of Availability and End of Support dates should be considered when planning futureexpansion. Unconfigured Storage indicates how much raw storage space is recognized by the RAID software subsystem and is currentlyavailable for configuration on this system. Please work with your PS Advisor to model the actual additional storage available in this system.Additional Headroom indicates how much raw storage could be added to this system. This data is based on the maximum amount of rawstorage for this systems Operation System level and platform.
