Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga International Indigenous Research Conference 3MT ® Competition Nomination Process An online nomination process led by the Nga Pae o te Maramatanga International Indigenous Research Conference 3MT ® Co-Chairs will invite up to 20 nominations to proceed to the online heat competitions to be held in early October. The top 12 will be invited to compete at the finals in front of a large international audience committed to Indigenous research aspirations. Nominations open Monday 8 August 2016 and close Monday 26 September 2016 at 5pm NZST . Please apply online at http://www.indigenousresearch2016.ac.nz/3-minute-thesis-competition. EntrytermsandconditionsThis exciting event gives New Zealand enrolled post-graduate students who are completing Indigenousfocused theses the chance to present their research to an international audience while competing for anumberofgenerousprizes.• The competition is open to both enrolled thesis Master’s and Doctoral students at a New Zealand

tertiaryinstitution,whomustcommunicate their research in nomore than threeminutes, with thehelpofonlyonestaticslide.

• Doctoral and Master’s candidates whose theses are under examination are also eligible to compete;graduatesarenoteligible.

• Entrants accept that thiscompetitionmaybe filmedandmadeavailableonNgāPaeo teMāramatangasocialmediasites.

IIRC20163MT®CompetitionRules1. A single PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations or ‘movement’ of any

descriptionareallowed.2. Theslideistobepresentedfromthebeginningoftheoration.3. Noadditionalelectronicmedia(e.g.soundandvideofiles)arepermitted.4.
