4.0 NORTH WEST WATER POLO DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2017-18
4.1 Summary of targets
• Continue to support Club Taster sessions to assist in their development
• Continue to support University Pilot
• Promote NW Water Polo ‘starter kit’ to schools and Clubs
• Continue to support Club networks to strengthen the Player Pathway
• Expand Satellite programme to establish
• Continue to expand NW Water Polo Academy programme to meet the National Talent
requirements
• Run additional Athlete Clinics for specific positions or skills
• Expand the mini-polo! Festivals programme
• Expand NW Championships
• Strengthen support for players and clubs to link with the England Talent programmes
• Medal at all 3 Inter-Regional Championship age groups
• Run additional Coach Clinics for Club and School coaches
• Expand the volunteer workforce including team managers, table officials and referees
• Support adaptation and enhancement of existing Regional competitions, including local leagues to
support recruitment and retention of players
• Continue to support Masters event and add annual female event into calendar

quarterly budget reports.
