Performance DataGrille with ceiling effect (grille installed within 300mm of ceiling). Throw is the distance from sidewall grille to anaverage velocity of 0.35 m/s. The minimum distance between multiple units must be 20% of Throw.
Throw assumes direction blades set at 45 bladedivergence. For 0 blade divergence multiple throw by1.4 and divide pressure drop by 1.1.
By limiting effective jet velocity to 7 m/s all grille sizesshown meet NC35 assuming 8dB room attenuation andfully open damper.

Computer Room Floor Grille Type CFG/AFGFloor grille types CFG and AFG are specifically developed for mounting in RaisedAccess Floors in such areas as Computer Rooms, where load and damageresistance are of the utmost importance.
Having a heavy duty construction, they can replace 600mm square floor tiles.Grille border depth can be specified to suit the type of floor system used. A rangeof surface finishes is available.
The type CFG is a fan assisted computer room floor grille thateliminates hotspots and reduces risk of equipment failure byproviding up to 5kW of cooling per cabinet.
The type AFG is a static grille assembly which can handle supplyair or alternatively extract air and be fitted with rear opposedblade damper assembly for air volume flow control.

Selection GuideThe floor grille should be located at the front of theI.T./Comms cabinet experiencing hot spot conditions thecabinet should incorporate a perforated door. The floorvoid static pressure must be considered in the selectionprocess (see Potential cooling below). Sufficient void air(cooled by others) must be available to be drawn by thegrille at the specific point of need.
CFG Acoustic DataSound power level for one CFG 76dB(A)In an area with several units the noise level will increasedue to multiple sources. To allow for this and roomattenuation an assessment should be made by anacoustic engineer to ensure required room noise levelsare achieved.

Floor Grille Type FBFloor Swirl Diffusers available in either aluminium or plasticconstruction in a range of finishes/colours.
Diffusers may be installed into a floor with either a pressurised void(no plenum box) or duct connection to optional side entry plenum box.
Air discharge pattern may be adjusted to provide either horizontal orvertical by adjustment of optional control element (not type VF).

High Capacity Linear Slot Diffuser Type VSD50The Type VSD50 slot diffuser is available with 1-4 slots. They are characterised by high induction, which results in a rapid decay of supplyair velocity and temperature differential.
The direction of air discharge can be adapted on site (by others) to the requiredroom conditions.
Size Available1 to 4 slot lengths available in increments of 150mm.

Performance Data
Perimeter throw pattern for VSD diffusers to a maximum terminal velocity of 0.75 m/s with average room velocitiesof 0.25 m/s. Blade configuration as detailed below to be set up on site, by others.
Diffuser recommended active length between 75% and 80% of facade length.
Maximum air change rates up to 25 per hour using special perimeter blade configuration as detailed below.
Max NC35 assuming 8dB room attenuation, 1200mm long plenum, recommended max spigot velocity 3.5 m/s.

Linear Slot Diffuser Type VSD35The type VSD35 slot diffuser is available with 1-4 slots. They are characterised by high induction, which results in a rapid decay of supplyair velocity and temperature differential.
The direction of air discharge can be adapted on site (by others) to the requiredroom conditions.

SECTION 8 Type ADT
Square louvred face, removable core, ceiling diffusers type ADT giving horizontal airdischarge, are suitable for use in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.60 and 4.00m. The recommended supply air temperature differential is 10K. The ADT diffuser can beused for supply or extract air applications.
ADT Plenum BoxManufactured from pre-galvanised mild steel. Supplied loose forsite fixing with either side or top entry spigots, with or withoutspigot dampers.
Plenums are also available internally lined if required and must besupported by the four holes provided on the top edge.

SECTION 10
Disc Valve Type LVS Z-LVSThe disc valves consist of a valve ring, centraldisc and installation subframe. To guarantee aperfect seal, the valve ring is fitted with aperipheral sealing strip. A bayonet fitting is usedto mount the unit in the installation subframe.
The air volume flow is adjusted by rotating thecentral disc which alters the gap between thedisc and the valve ring. The central disc is heldin position with a locknut.

The layout and centres of the swirl diffusers must be carefully considered to ensure maximum comfort is achieved. Wehave provided three alternative arrangements for positioning diffusers, selection methods 1, 2 and 3. Each of theselections will ensure that the maximum terminal velocity in the occupied zone (VH1) will not exceed 0.25m/s, 1.0mbelow ceiling.
Swirl Diffuser Selection Methodology
Swirl diffusers offer a high induction air distribution method thatenables the highest comfort criteria to be achieved.
The following range of diffusers each discharge an air streamhorizontally across the ceiling. The entrainment and expansion takesplace rapidly, and the velocity decay of the air-stream occurs in directproportion with the distance from the device.
High turbulence occurs immediately within the proximity of thediffuser, which allows high air change rates to be successfully suppliedinto the room. With careful selection swirl diffusers can handle up to30 air changes per hour while still satisfying relevant comfort criteria.

SECTION 11
Type FD Type FD swirl diffusers are available in various sizes. Depending on thearchitectural requirements, the face plate can be circular or square. The fixedair control blades on the diffuser face are arranged radially.
The diffuser face can be attached or removed via a centre fix screw into theplenum box. The screw head is covered with a decorative cap. The plenumbox can be supplied with either top or side entry spigots and on request,with spigot lip seals and volume control damper.
If a circular diffuser face is ordered, the plenum box with side entry spigothas a 35mm extension piece fitted to the plenum.

Type DCS Type DCS-P air diffusers consist of the perforated face plate with a thin acousticfleece lining on the rear. In type DCS-N, the face plate is made of plain sheetsteel with perimeter returned edge with central perforated plate insert.
The rear swirl diffuser includes a discharge nozzle ring and radially arrangedfixed air control blades and connection collar. If required, can be supplied withtop entry spigot piece or side entry plenum box with circular spigot. Plenum boxcan have internal acoustic insulation if specified.

Type TDFTDF - SilentAIR swirl diffusers are available in various sizes. In accordancewith architectural requirement the face plate can be circular or square. Thefixed air guiding elements of diffuser face are radially arranged.
The diffuser can be fastened to the plenum box by means of a centralscrew and cover cap.
The plenum box can be supplied with a horizontal or vertical airconnection, or upon request with a volume control damper and / or asealing lip.

Type TDV The diffuser face of the type SilentAIR offers a high volume flow rate at lowsound power levels. The horizontal swirl-type discharge of the supply air ensureshigh induction and hence rapid reduction in jet velocity and temperaturedifferential. Suitable for supply air temperature differentials up to 10K.
Depending on requirements, the diffuser can be supplied with a circular or squareface and with either white or black air control blades. For the air connection a plenum box is used. The connection can be top or sideentry. Face fixing with centre screw and cover cap.

Type DUK - Standard SupplyJet nozzles type DUK are suitable for almost all situations because of the widerange of variants available.
Fixed construction type DUK-F consists of a nozzle with fixing holes. Adjustableconstruction type DUK-V consists of a spherical discharge nozzle mounted flangeand circular spigot for direct connection to a circular duct. The nozzle can beadjusted manually up to max. 30 in any direction. The adjustment can bemotorised with an electric or pneumatic actuator. With an actuator the nozzle canonly be rotated in one plane up to 30 upwards (cooling) and up to 30downwards (heating).
